✪ CHAPTER 1 ✪
The smell of salt drifting through my nostrils and the salty air sifting through my hair was the best thing I could ever feel. Sitting on top a rocky plane looking over at the Indian ocean made me feel like I was the wind itself. With my arms spread outwards in 180 degrees made me feel like I was Rose in titanic. I giggled to myself.
"What are you laughing at?" I jumped. Startled by the sound of Kati's voice from behind me leaning against my corolla. I clenched my heart with my fist.
"You scared me!" I Yelled Jumping from my spot and running over to her in a heartbeat. My feet crunching against the rocks and crusty leaves leaving a crunching sound. Bringing my hand up to grab her shoulder she immediately swivelled around on her toes and ran around the car.
"Don't kill me PLEASE!" She exclaimed as I tried to catch up to her in no avail, I reached out again and was about to grab her shoulders but she stopped immediately making us tumble to the ground from the force of me hitting her back.
We fell in a heap. Hearing our groans of pain and annoyance, I heard laughing in front of us making me crane my neck up to look who was making the stupid sound. Seeing it was Jonny I scowled at him while getting off Kati's back and helping her to her feet.
"Instead of laughing, why didn't you come and help us up?!" I exclaimed while dusting my legs from the dirt, as Kati was doing the same. " You know that your annoying right?" she said while blushing from embarrassment. I chuckled and walked around to the drivers side.
"Anyone coming to Paul's with me?" I asked as I climbed into the car and starting her up. I heard yes's of excitement coming from both my friends as they rushed towards the car trying to see who gets the passenger seat first. She purred to life, backing up and doing a u-turn down the rocky path to the main road. Kati, who won the passenger seat turns on the radio to Nova, Sorry from Justin Bieber started to play through out the speakers. Oh No.
I'm sorry, yeah
Sorry, yeah
Sorry
Yeah, I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?!I'll take every single piece of the blame if you want me to
But you know that there is no innocent one in this game for two
I'll go, I'll go and then you go, you go out and spill the truth
Can we both say the words and forget this? She screamed the lyrics to the song while jumping up and down on her seat. "SHUT IT!" I screamed over her terrible singing. I groaned in annoyance while shaking my head embarrassed as the people driving past gave us weird looks.
Pulling Up to Paul's I opened the glass doors, my body hitting the air-conditioned air and sliding into a sparkly blue booth. "Jon, could you please order for us?" I said while giving him the best puppy dog look.
"You know that works on me!" he exclaimed. Grumbling incoherent words under his breath while walking up to the bar to order our ice-cream Kati and I giggled and shared each others look of excitement for our ice-creams.
"Did you hear about Justine trying out for the surfers comp next week?" Kati Asked. While she shuffled around getting comfortable. I looked at her if she was crazy. I mean, Justine couldn't surf to save her self. I couldn't hold it in any longer and starting cracking up bringing my chest up to my hands.
"Are you serious?!" I Exclaimed coughing in the fit of laughter still. I couldn't get my head around on what she just told me. Justine was the b*tch in our school and thought she could do anything and succeed type of person. I surf my self and I pretty much know who can surf and who couldn't.
