Jenny then woke up at the hospital. She saw her sister sleeping at her bed side.
"Courtney..."
Her sister woke up. "Jenny! Oh, thank goodness you're awake."
"I'm sorry..."
"What were you doing at the park that made you collapse like that?"
"........."
"Well, that's not important. What's more important is you're now awake."
"I'm sorry.... I'm really sorry .."
"What're you apologizing for?"
"Giving you trouble. Giving your problems."
"That's not what this is all about okay? Now, you gotta start getting better if you wanna keep up with your school."
"What? What do you mean?"
"Well, as of now you've been here for a total of 4 days, most likely you'll be here for 2 more days so almost a week."
"That's long. And I've been just sleeping?"
"Yeah, kinda like a coma." Courtney tried joking
But Jenny didn't mind "How 'bout your work?"
"I've been coming in and out of here. Y'know after work, I rush back here. But I've taken care of your class. I told your professors about your condition."
"I'm so sorry."
"Stop apologizing already, it's getting on my nerves! Start getting better for me instead"
Jenny gave a faint smile "Yeah, I will."
So Jenny had been asleep for 4 straight days. Thinking about it... she thought of why did she collapsed?
She remembered, on that same day, she was having a high fever. It was just a simple cold and cough the day before but it became worse on that day. She remembered the struggle she had to stand and walk. And the incomparable pain she felt with the conversation she had with Kurt, she then realized that the emotional pain that she's feeling is far worse than the physical pain she's in now for she can still feel the exact same amount of pain that Kurt's words had caused as she recollects them.
"Jenny? Jenny!"
"Sorry Courtney..."
"What were you thinking?"
"Nothing... just some things..."
"Now, don't you stress yourself you haven't recovered yet.."
"Yeah.. Sorry.."
"There you go again with your melancholic apologies, would you stop with the "S" word?..... Just-just call or ask me if you need anything, okay?"
"Yeah.. Okay.. Thanks.. Uhmm.. Courtney... How-how did you find me?"
"Well... there was a storm and you were taking some medicine the day before so I checked up on you, then I saw you weren't in your room, I called you up but you left your phone then I look and found an unfinished message for Kurt saying all about the details on how might I find you. I was on the way to Kurt's house then I found you at the park, unconscious. That's the story... Wha-what happened exactly?"
"I was just..just.. really sick.. that's all"
"You know you're sick, but you forced yourself to meet Kurt?"
"........I-I just wanna sleep already, Courtney." said Jenny as she went back to bed and turned her back from her sister
"Oh... okay.. Sorry. You can tell me when you're ready. I'll be going then. I'll come back tomorrow.. Night" and kissed Jenny's forehead.
