First love

"Jagiya, what do you mean you have to leave? Why can't you stay here with me?" Chanyeol asked as he slowly starts to break down. You and Chanyeol are best friends since 6 years old and both of you are each other's first love as well. You heard news about you going back to America to study and you told Chanyeol when both of you are on a date, strolling on the beach.

"Mianhae, jeongmal mianhae. I tried asking my parents but.. They wouldn't budge or change their decision. Mianhae. I want to stay here and be with you forvever but.." You said and your sentence trailed off because you are crying. Chanyeol felt his heart breaking when he saw you cry so he hurriedly hugged you and you just cried into his chest. "Jihyunnie, i promise you. I will wait for you to come back. When you come back, i'll find you and when i do, let's go back to being the sweet couple we are, alright?" Chanyeol said as he tried to comfort you and continued, "When you are gone, know that i'll always be thinking about you and no one can ever replace you in my heart." After he said that, he kissed you on your lips, you slowly close your eyes and kissed him back. After a few minutes, both of you broke the kiss. "I'll miss you." You said and hugged him tightly, he hugged back. "I'll miss you more." Chanyeol whispered into your ear.

After awhile, both of you are looking at the sea, holding hands. "When will you come back?" Chanyeol asked, curious. "5 years later." You replied softly. "5 years is a long time, you know?" Chanyeol said and you nodded your head. "You won't forget about me and get yourself a new boyfriend there, would you?" Chanyeol asked and you looked at him, shocked. "Yah! What do you mean by that?! Of course i would never do something like that!" You shouted and Chanyeol smiled while ruffling your hair. "I know you wouldn't. I just have to hear it for myself. Now.. I'm sure of it. " Chanyeol said and you hugged him. "A nice view and atmosphere to send you off, don't you think?" Chanyeol said and you nodded while lying your head on his shoulder. "What if i can't get by a day without seeing you?" You asked and Chanyeol looked at you. "I'm wondering this myself as well." Chanyeol whispered and you smiled. 

After awhile, you walked towards the sea and you could feel the waves crashing on your bare feet. "Yah! Don't stand too close to the sea! Be careful!" Chanyeol shouted and you just smiled at him. "Park Chanyeol! You are behaving like a mum, you know that?!" You said and you laughed once you saw his facial expression. "And whose fault is this that always brings out my parent side?!" Chanyeol shouted and you just kept on laughing. As you are walking along the sea, he picked up a seashell from the sand and put it in his pocket. "Yah! Jihyunnie! Let's go! It's getting pretty late!" Chanyeol shouted and you ran to him while linking your hand on his arm.

It's the day you are leaving. You kept looking out your house window, hoping Chanyeol would come. As you are taking your luggage out of the house, Chanyeol ran to you and hugged you, you got shocked but hugged him back. "Sorry i'm late. Been doing this for you. Hope you'll remember me and all the happy moments we shared together when you look at this seashell necklace." Chanyeol said as he broke the hug. "I-it's beautiful." You said as your tears starts falling. "Glad you like it." Chanyeol said as he tied the necklace on your neck and you looked at it once he finished tying. "I love it but.. I never get you anything." You said as you looked down. "It's alright. Since you will forever be in my heart." Chanyeol said and he hugged you, you hugged back. "I love you." Chanyeol said and kissed you, you kissed back. Once both of you broke the kiss, the both of you are still hugging. "I love you too and will always miss you." You said and he hugged you tightly.

"Let's meet again in five years time and when we do, we are going to spend every single day together to make up for the five years of seperation." Chanyeol said and you smiled while nodding. He kissed you on your cheek one last time and you cried while saying goodbye to him. Soon, you are gone.
