Toriel's POV
"Look, it's a human!" The fish exclaimed, summoning a spear and charging at my child. I stepped in the way.
"You are not going to hurt my child," I threatened, looking intimating."Well, I don't know about you but I want to get to the surface and she's the last soul we need!" She yelled, clenching her teeth and taking a fighting stance. I summoned fire balls.
"I'm not letting another child be murdered. Just try," I dared."Listen, my brother is turning into... something and you're worried about this!?" The skeleton sobbed, magic, orange tears oozed through his eye sockets, clearly terrified for his brother.
"Right, we'll deal with this later. Sans needs out help," I stated, patting his back comfortingly. My child hugged him.
"What are your names?" I asked."I'm Undyne, and this is Papyrus," the warrior fish explained, the spears disappearing.
"I am Toriel and this is my child, Frisk," I replied.
Time skip
We had been wandering around the forest, attempting to find some sort of sign, telling us where Sans had fled to. Papyrus looked a little shaken up.
"Papyrus, are you ok?" I asked, becoming worried about him."Y- yeah, I'm just... scared. I don't know if Sans is going to be ok. Thanks for asking," Papyrus muttered. He appeared to be on the verge of crying. I pat his back reassuringly. He smiled- I think- as he picked up his pace.
Frisk's POV
Thinking hard, I considered everything I know about Sans. Where would he go to hide or get help. I'm thinking Alphys' lab or somewhere no one ever visits. Maybe a cave. Unfortunately, I can't suggest Alphys' lab because it would reveal the different time lines. No one's ready for that, excluding Sans.
"Is there a lab he knows of. Maybe he'd go there for help," I suggested, purposely being unspecific."We know Alphys' lab. I'll call her," Undyne explained, pulling out a phone and dialing Alphys. Ring, ring. The ringing continued until it got a response.
"Alph, has anyone visited your lab recently. Within the time space of about an hour?" Undyne asked before pausing, listening to Alphys' response.
"Yeah, thanks... No, it's nothing important. Bye," Undyne said goodbye before hanging up.
"Nope, he wasn't there," Undyne announced with a sigh. I began thinking hard. I remembered Sans' lab near the house. Now, I need to think how to address it without arousing suspicion.
"Did Sans have anywhere in the house that he wouldn't let you enter? Maybe a room he entered frequently?" I asked, attempting to not point directly at his lab."He had a room in his shed. He would never let me in there, saying that it was private and not important," Papyrus replied.
"Maybe he's there," I stated, feeling a sense of confidence.
"He wouldn't fit. It's a rather claustrophobic room. I may have never been in there but I know that the room's small," Papyrus responded, losing his new hope. I sighed, knowing he was right. There were caves but their are too many to check.
"Maybe we could split up and search some caves. They're discreet so no one would see him and big enough if he grows anymore," I stated, my eyes gleaming with hope. Papyrus did the same as he pulled me into a great, big hug, almost squeezing the life out of me. I wheezed as he finally dropped me.
"Who's going with who? I would prefer to talk with Sans alone but who's going to look after my child? I can't let her wander about unoccupied or even with me. It may be dangerous," Mum explained, looking down at me. Before I could tell her I wanted to help, Papyrus asked Undyne to take me to Alphys' lab and look after me. Suddenly, two muscular arms carried me away. There was one thing I was certain of, Sans needed my help. I needed to escape from Alphys' lab.
