Sans' POV
When I woke up I realised I was already standing. Opening my eyes, I realised I was fighting Tori!
"Papyrus, take my child and run," she requested, giving me a dark glare.
"Bu-" Pap begun before she cut him off. He picked up Frisk and took a few steps back. I glared at him, trying as hard as I could to express sadness. It was difficult with my face. Luckily, Pap seemed to realise.
"Toriel, wait! Sto-" Pap yelled.
"Just get my child to safety! Go, now!" She demanded, pushing him back. After summoning more fire, she threw it all at me, sending pain through my body. Whining, I shuffled backwards.I attempted to speak, only to realise it came out as a growl. As she shot fire again, my mouth felt like heat was building up in it. A beam was forming in my mouth. Realising I couldn't close it, I swiftly turned my head, hitting a pile of rocks, causing an avalanche. Of fuck. The rocks rolled towards Pap and Frisk. Realising I couldn't tell Toriel about it, I ran around her, standing in between the two and the rocks. The rocks bashed off of me, but not Pap or Frisk. As the avalanche ended, I looked over at the kid and my bro. They were fine. Just as I turned to Toriel, she hit me again. How could I tell her it was me? My attention turned to the wall besides me. I banged on it twice, trying to make it sound like knocking. She noticed but didn't seem to understand. She got rid off the fire and stared at me in confusion. With more enthusiasm, I repeated the knocking three times. After, she just summoned the fire again. She didn't know it was me. Half-heartedly, I did it once more as I lowered my head and closing my eyes. As I braced myself, the next thing I heard suprised me.
"Who's there?" the kiddo replied. My head shot up as hope filled me. Toriel jumped at Frisk's words.
"Sans?" Toriel asked. I nodded, letting out a sigh.
"Oh my, Sans, I'm so sorry," she apologised, hugging my leg. In a reassuring fashion, I hugged her back.
"That's what I was trying to tell you!" Papyrus yelled, putting down the kid.

"I'm sorry. I- I should have listened. And Sans, I'm sorry for hurting you," she sobbed. I hugged her tighter.

Time skip and Frisk's POV

My legs ached as we continued to walked home. We decided to go home to rest before to Alphys' lab. We doubted Sans could get any worse. I yawned, indicating that I was tired.
"Oh, my child, are you tired? I'll carry you," Toriel offered before Sans interupted by patting his own back. Guessing he was saying I could ride him, I attempted to climb up him, only for him to lift me with one of his huge hands. As soon as I touched his back, I began dozing off.

Toriel's POV
I still felt a little guilty for attacking Sans, though, I believe he forgives me. Like my child, I, too, was rather tired and I could tell Papyrus was. Obviously, Sans had caught on to both of us and offered we fell asleep on him too, which we did. I just hope he knows where he's going.

Sans' POV
I think Tori doubts that I know where I'm going. Well, I don't. But, I have my shortcuts.

Time skip and Frisk's POV

When I woke up, Sans was still moving. However, the place was much warmer and had a friendlier and familiar atmosphere. The beat from his walking was relaxing. I felt like dozing off again. Reluctantly I opened my eyes. Suprisingly, we were in the ruins. I bet it was one of his "shortcuts". I continued laying on him, rolling over into a more comfortable position. Suddenly, Sans twitched and whined. He stopped walking, rubbing one of his arms with his hand. Before I could ask anything, he continued walking down the large, long hall.
