Papyrus' POV
Toriel, the human and I just stared at Sans, waiting for a response. None came. He just... stared. It was very eerie. Carefully, I approached him, and gently shook his leg. Still nothing.
"Sans!" I yelled, shaking him harder, finally getting his attention. He seemed to snap back into reality, as if he was in some sort of trance. The blue pupils returned. He glanced over at us in confusion.
"Sans, what's a time line?" I asked."I- I'm sure I just misread it! After all, what would a 'time line' even be?'" Frisk replied with haste, rushing the first half. I immediately grew suspicious.
"Sans, give us an honest answer," I demanded, suprised by the venom in my own voice. Sans, looked down shamefully, doing the hand gestures. Frisk gulped before translating.
"What's the point in telling you? I've told you thousands of times. Do you know how many times we've done the same things? Over, and over, and over. A time line is every time the kid resets. If she resets, everything starts over. I'm unsure as to why, but I seem to be the only one who remembers." Sans sighed, looking away sorrowfully. The pain was so obvious that it literally hurt me. I had never seen him sad before.Frisk's POV
I felt horrible. I knew how much pain my resets has caused Sans. I swear I won't reset again. I'll get everyone out and let them live their lives. I'll live with Toriel and hang out with all my friends.
"Well, I believe we are ready. Should we go now?" Mom suggested, earning a nod from everyone. We all got on Sans' back and set off.Time skip because I want to. Boom!
We entered Alphys' lab, leading Sans in through a large hall designed for larger experiments to be transported. It wasn't even big enough for him, causing him to have to crouch slightly. Standing beside the new device stood Alphys, scanning through papers and checking calculations.
"Hello Alphys, is it ready for use?" Papyrus asked, causing Alphys to squeak in suprise."Uh, y- yeah. I- it should w- work," she stuttered, adjusting her glasses. Sans walked slowly into it as Alphys stood with her mouth hanging open, seeming to not expect him to look like this.
"A- alright, j- just stand i- in there and r- relax," she explained, adjusting a few dials, "i- I found out that the liquid that spilt on you was a mixture of determination and monster magic. This machine will extract some of the magic and determination." We all nodded in understanding, Sans relaxing while she turned it on.Another time skip. I know, it gets annoying. I'm sorry for being lazy.
Everyone had left the room and I decided to wait. Sans was asleep, wearing a hospital gown thing. I was waiting to explain to him my plan for this time line. Sans began to stir, making me excited. I wanted to see him happy.
Sans' POV
Where am I? What time line is this? Genocide? Probably. I thought to myself, opening my eyes to see the kid sitting alone, a smile on there face. Definitely genocide. I jumped off of whatever I was laying on, my eye glowing blue. She looked confused. Faking innocence. Summoning a Gaster blaster, I fired it at her. She dodged, starting to plead with me to stop. How dumb does the kid think I am? I summoned a few more, she dodged every single one. Tossing bones at her, I finally hit her, slicing across her arm. I thought I heard a door open but I ignored it, probably my imagination. Familiar voices called to me. I must be crazy from the anger I had and the deaths I had witnessed.Toriel's POV
We called out to Sans, getting no response. He was too intent on trying to kill my child. I had to snap him out of whatever trance he was in. Deciding it would help, I thew a small fireball at him, only enough to damage his HP by 1.
"Toriel, wait! He only has 1 HP!" Papyrus yelled to me, but it was too late. It had already left my hand, rocketing to it's target. It hit, making him collapse, some red liquid leaking from his mouth. Both eyes were lacking any light, his expression just as empty. He looked up at me and Papyrus, horror in his face, eyes still blank. He finally realised where he was. He grinned wider, laughing slightly as his body became dust, billowing to the floor......Sans was dead...
