I pushed the covers away from my body and swung my legs out of the bed. "Don't go," Jay's voice groaned.

"No, Code will be looking for me, and they can't find me here," I replied.

"Just stay here for a little while," he groaned.

"No, Jay, I can't. They can't find us together; I've already betrayed them by coming to see you," I said.

He sat up and turned me to look at him. "Why do you do so much for them? They're trying to hide the world from everything, and we've done so much to stop that. You're just undoing all of our work by going with them."

"You know three of the members, Jay. They aren't bad people, you know that. Nathan told me about your band, how could you betray that? They're trying to help us," I told him.

"I'm trying to help you! You don't want to be one of them!" He exclaimed.

"You can help me by helping me find my clothes," I giggled. I turned back to the bedside table and picked the SD card up. I turned to Jay. "They can help us, you just have to trust them." I put the SD card in my bra and got off the bed.

"So that's where you keep it," he laughed. I rolled my eyes and started walking round the room, looking for my jeans and shirt. "Just come back to Wave. Tom'll help you," he pleaded.

"Help me find my clothes, Jay," I said, ignoring him.

"How much have you found out from them?" He asked.

"Enough," I replied. "But I'm not telling you. I don't need to. Just remember Code is out of bounds whilst I'm in there."

"Obviously," he sighed. I picked my jeans and top up, and went to the door. I opened it and stepped back in shock.

"Get dressed," Lucia said sternly. "And you too, Mr McGuiness."

I stepped back again and quickly pulled my jeans and light brown top on. Jay got out of bed and pulled his clothes on whilst Lucia grabbed my hands. "What are you doing?" I asked. She produced a pair of handcuffs from her pocket and clipped them on my wrists. "Oh..."

I stood to the side as she did the same with Jay. We followed her downstairs, and outside where she took the car keys from Jay. "Get in," she told us, so we got in the car and she got in the drivers seat.

We parked on the ramp of the bus; then Lucia got out and opened the door. Jay and I got out and followed her through the bus to Max's office. Siva and Samantha were stood in the lab, and watched me walk past, giving me a disappointed look. I looked down and hurried past them. Nathan came out of Max's office when we got there and looked at me. I flicked my gaze to his hurt eyes; then straight back to the floor. I heard the door open and close moments later, then a hand was placed on my shoulder. It pushed me forwards, out of the hallway to Max's office. "My office," Nathan told me. I walked down the corridor to Nathan's office and stopped, letting him open the door. I followed him in, and he sat down in the large black chair behind his desk. "Sit," he said, so I sat in the seat opposite him.

"Nathan, look, I'm sorry," I said.

"Save it for Max. He's the one you should be apologising to. I'm not the one who took you in, he's the one. I just have to brief you on what he's going to say. Give me your hands," he explained. I lifted my hands onto the table and he took the handcuffs off. "Alex, look at me. I'm not angry, and neither is Max. We're just disappointed."

I looked up at him and bit my lip. His eyes were full of emotion; he was so disappointed. "Am I going to be kicked out?" I asked.

"Of course not," he replied. "You need to tell him everything though. He won't kick you out of the team, just off the case. He can't allow you to be in contact with Jay whilst this is going on."
