Leucosia is sitting on the plush couch in the Cullens living room feeling very out of place. She's cool with Alice, they bonded over the mutual love of trashy television. But between Rosalie's glaring and Esme smiling at her it's almost too much. There's an awkward vibe in the air, no one not knowing what to say after the small talk. They've been through the 'where did you I've before Forks,' and Leucosia's favorite 'I read somewhere that sirens are mermaids too? Is that true?' She's lost track of how many times she's had to explain that mermaids are children of Triton, and sirens are children of Achelous,. Really, this is probably one of the most awkward meeting she's had with her partner's parents.

It would actually be a lot easier if Rosalie stopped looking at her like she's the scum fish feed on at the bottom of a lake. Leucosia gets it, she's technically a different kind of monster than they are, and she feeds in a more violent way, but Rosalie doesn't even know her. Leucosia isn't the most sunshine and rainbows person, but she's not dark and gloomy like some people she knows. Rosalie is lowkey being racist and everyone in the room knows it. Emmett has told her Rosalie doesn't like the wolves either, so she doesn't feel too bad about it.

The lingering silence in the air is broken by a small stream of light in the middle of the room. It dances in the space it takes up, growing larger and larger. "What the hell is that?" Jasper asks worried when a bright ball of light appears in the middle of the room. The light is a white hot light that kind of burns his eyes as it gets brighter. It moves around like someone is slashing their fingers through it repeatedly.

"Close your eyes!" Leucosia says before it's too late. At least whichever god is flashing in, is doing it slowly so they have time to cover their eyes. "You complete ass!" Leucosia yells when the light fades and she sees who it is. Apollo stands in the middle of the room wearing his stupid board shorts and sunglasses like he just got home from the beach. His bright turquoise Sun's Out, Guns Out tank top is ridiculously douchy.

"Hello to you too." Apollo laughs because coming from anyone else he'd be pretty offended, but he knows he's been kind of an ass to Leucosia. Leucosia throws her arms around him and almost hugs the life out of him. He hugs her back, and realizes how much he's missed her.

"I knew it." Rosalie mutters from the couch. She knew Leucosia was a little bitch, but a lying, cheating, little bitch makes sense. She can see Edward roll his eyes at her thoughts but she really doesn't care.

"Thank you so much." Leucosia whispers at the same time Rosalie starts muttering to herself. She pulls back smiles at Apollo before stepping back to stand by Emmett, who is standing kind of awkwardly behind them.

"No problem, I owed you one." Apollo shrugs, before looking down and scratching his head, not really knowing what else to say. He notices his clothes and whispers a quiet, Oh, before waving his hand. A white toga replaces his clothes, he was planning on changing before he came but he forgot in his haste. He wanted to look a little more put together and not a surfer when meeting his best friends boyfriend for the first time.

"You didn't owe me shit. Actually no. You owed me a phone call or a visit." Leucosia scowls at him, but seriously. It's been almost 30 years since they last talked. In the span on their lives, it's not a whole lot of time, but a lot has changed since then.

"Yeah, yeah. I know, I'm an awful best friend. But hey, I got some cloud nymphs to cover the sky for a bit so I could come over." Apollo knows he wins the 'Worst Best Friend Award' for probably the last few decades. He turns to Emmett and smiles. "You must be Emmett! I'm Apollo," Apollo holds his hand out to shake Emmett's before going for a bro hug. He whispers his version of the older brother threat. "You hurt her and I will throw you into Tartarus you myself."

"Apollo, the sun god, Apollo?" Carlisle asks because he literally has the god of medicine in his house.

"Ahh. A doctor. And a descendant of Delphine. Funny coincidence." Apollo shakes Carlisle's hand and silently blesses him. He's impressed a vampire has enough self control to be a doctor.

"So how do you two know each other?" Rosalie raised an eyebrow, wanting to expose Leucosia so Emmett will finally understand how bad she is for him. At the same time, a God, that's pretty impressive.

"When I was turned into a human, I mooched off Leucosia and we became best friends. I owe her my life. And when I became a god again, she became my right hand, my go to. You should show her some respect, she could make you suffer in ways you've never thought of before." Apollo smiles sweetly at her. Even though is a patronizing smile, it still could rival the sun in how bright it is.

"I'm missing something." Alice doesn't understand: a) why Apollo is here; and b) why Leucosia is thanking him.

"Leucosia came to Olympus and basically told the gods to fuck themselves because she wasn't going to play their games anymore. And they lifted the curse and she somehow became favored by a majority of the Olympians? Mad skills, everyone watch out." Apollo watches Emmett look at Leucosia with hopeful eyes. He realizes that she didn't tell Emmett the curse was lifted and he's just now finding out. Leucosia nods her head slightly, and smiles up at Emmett.

"A curse?" Esme gasps at the thought curses are even a practiced thing. And her son is dating a cursed girl, well she's not cursed anymore, but still.

"But the reason I came was to say congratulations." Apollo smiles at Emmett and Leucosia who both look happy. His best friend got mated and he won't lie, he totally watched the whole thing and almost crashed his chariot, he was crying so much.

"For what?" Alice asks because she didn't see anything that is worth congratulating. If he was congratulating Leucosia on getting her curse lifted, he could have done it when she was alone.

"What's he talking about?" Edward looks bewildered because Emmett's thoughts are kind of clouded. He has to focus really hard to pick up on what Emmett's thinking. All he really understands is that Emmett and Leucosia were singing about going to church and flying?

"I gotta blast, but it was nice meeting everyone." Apollo pulls out a pocket sundial from the depths of his toga. His half hour of cloud coverage is almost up, but the sun is over the ocean so autopilot won't hurt for a couple more minutes. He turns to Emmett and Leucosia and smiles at the two. "And you two, dinner next week?" Leucosia opens her mouth to probably tell him that Emmett is a vampire and doesn't eat the same food they do. Apollo just waves his hand dismissively because, yes, he knows. "Don't worry I'm not an idiot, I'll have stuff for everyone to eat. See you soon!"

"What just happened?" Jasper was there the whole time but felt more like he was watching it on a sitcom. A very weird, very supernatural sitcom. A few months ago he didn't even know sirens and gods were real and he just had one in his living room.
