Dear Diary,

Went to school today, the day was dreadful. Der and I got a 'C' on our essay which I think is stupid because we were up until one in the morning doing it. Doing it. Hah, Im so immature. Anyways, Harper is coming over so we can get ready for Trevor's party. I dont know how that kid gets away with a party every Friday, its beyond me. Mom made me promise I wouldnt get too tipsy, but I dont know- it depends who will be there.

Hasta la vista, Diary.

I shut the cover at the sound of a knock at my door, knowing it was Harper. Best friends or not, not one person in the world knew about my diary, and it was going to stay that way. I hurriedly stood, dashing to my shelves, and removing the cover to a secret compartment in the wood. The knock sounded again.

"Come in," I shouted, putting the lid back on. Harper cracked the door, peeking in.

"Derek isn't here, is he?" she whispered, poking her head through the door frame. I looked at her with a raised brow and she turned pink, stepping inside and shutting the door behind her.

"You so like him," I laughed, nudging her shoulder. She threw a hand onto her hip after setting her bag down.

"Lie!" she complained.

"Betcha wanna screw him!" I said, bursting out laughing at her shocked face. Shocked she was, but she couldn't deny that she was also blushing like crazy. I was so right.

"S-Sadie!" she exclaimed, plopping down on the bed next to me. Then her shocked expression morphed into one of confidence and guilt. "So what if I do? I mean come on, he's so hot. I don't know how you've resisted all of this time."

"Because I'm a talented, magnificent, magical person," I said mockingly, all the while chuckling. I grabbed my hair dryer, plugging it in to dry my dripping hair from my previous shower. "Oh by the way," I began, hearing footsteps coming up the stairs, "I think I forgot to mention Derek is coming over." A smirk slid its way across my features.

"Wait, wha-" she began, but the door flew open and Derek pummeled in, tackling me with a bear hug.

"Im so friggen excited Sade! Its finally Friday! We are getting TRASHED tonight!" he laughed, standing and then picking me up from the rug he had tackled me onto. I took his hand and stood, finishing blow drying my hair.

"Yea, I guess Im in the mood to get drunk," I chuckled. Derek hugged me from behind, looking into the mirror to see me.

"Whoa, hey Harper, didnt see you there!" Derek exclaimed, looking at Harper's wide-eyed reflection.

"Uh, um-" she stuttered, stiff and shocked, her cheeks burning red. I clicked off my hair dryer.

"Hey Harper, what are we wearing?" I asked, saving her from the obvious awkward situation that was approaching. I threw open my closet doors, pulling out a sparkly black mini dress and throwing it to her. "Go put this on." She nodded and opened the door that led into my bathroom, shutting it behind her.

I pulled out a dark blue mini dress with white beading, yanking off my jeans and top. I spun around to Derek.

"Don't make her uncomfortable!" I whispered.

He opened his mouth in surprise, giving me a 'what did I do?' expression.

I rolled my eyes, "Cant you tell she likes you?"

He shrugged, pulling out his iPhone.

I looked in the mirror, straightening the dress out, while picking up my hair straightener and making it straighter than it was. Finally, I retrieved my makeup bag from my dresser and applied a bit of eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, and blush, finishing it up with a scarlet gloss that turned out more pink than red.

"Done!" I heard Harper yell.

"Me too," I yelled back, slipping on jet black pumps.

"Finally," Derek sighed, messing up his hair in the mirror. "Lets go then."

******

"Vodka!" I yelled again, over the blasting music. The guy with all of the booze squinted, leaning in closer. "VODKA!" I screamed, slamming my hands down on Trevors counter, accidentally leaning in, exposing my lacy black bra.

The guy raised an eyebrow, and then nodded. "Heard you the first time, sweetie," he said with a wink. That one was going in the diary. I huffed, spinning around and sitting on a stool in Trevor's kitchen. This was my third drink, so I was done for the night now. I wasnt getting trashed tonight. Just a little buzzed. Ok, maybe a lot buzzed.

Suddenly, I was in a pair of warm arms, embracing me. I looked up, seeing Trevor's surprisingly sober face. I grinned.

"Hey baby," Trevor winked playfully. I laughed, throwing my arms around his neck.

"Hey."

"Dance with me?" I nodded, after downing the Vodka and soda mixture on the counter.

Trevor laughed, "Take it easy there Sade." I gave him a shrug and a smirk and let him lead me into the parlor filled with sweaty, dancing bodies all packed together tightly, grinding against everyone within two feet of themselves.

I wrapped my arms around Trevor's neck, grinding our hips together, swaying to the tune. It felt like hours before I realized that the music had carried me away into daydreams of Joey.

Then, I began wondering where he was at that moment as Trevor lead me away to the empty backyard. And thats when I saw him. Joey Truman, in Trevor's backyard, looking at me.
