I walked slowly behind Sinbad and Ja'far, winding up the brick roads to the palace.
I looked down at Anna's body, her face was pale and showed no emotion. I couldn't grasp the fact that she was gone. I felt myself start to cry again as I gripped her shoulders and her legs, where I was holding her. I cradled her with care as we walked up the palace stairs.
"I'll have someone take you friend and get her cleaned up." Sinbad said as he turned to me, his smile faded once he noticed I was crying again.
Kneeling before me he wiped away my tears with his thumb.
"Just because you lost someone you love, doesn't mean they're gone forever. Your friend will always be with you, in there." Sinbad pointed to my heart.
I felt like a child, having him tell me this, but I took his words with great consideration and nodded. Standing up Sinbad turned to Ja'far.
"Take her friend- I apologize, what was her name." I looked up at Sinbad.
"A-Anna." I whispered, it was hard to say her name without feeling heart wrenchingly sad.
He smiled warmly.
"Please have someone take Anna and-" Sinbad turned to me once more.
"(y/n)." I said getting the hint, and laughing quietly at how foolish he was to forget to ask my name. I saw him blush in embarrassment.
"And have someone take (y/n)'s things to an empty room for her." Sinbad told Ja'far. Ja'far nodded and clapped.
Two men dressed in uniform came into the room, one took my things and the other took Anna. It was hard for me to let her go, but I knew I had to.
"Sinbad?"I asked quietly. He turned to me.
"Yes?" He questioned.
"Can we burry Anna by the beach... I-I think she would like that." I said timidly.
He smiled and nodded.
"Of course! Now, come my friends! Let's feast!" Sinbad said, motioning Ja'far and I to follow him.
We reached a large dinning room where a large table of people were already eating.
"Sorry for my untimely entrance my friends! Please continue!" Sinbad said with a large smile on his face, he walked over to sit at the head of the table, while Ja'far sat on his right.
I stood there, unsure of what to do. I heard Sinbad laugh as he made eye contact with me.
"Come (y/n)! Don't be so shy! This is a feast after all!" Sinbad motioned to an empty seat on his left.
I nodded timidly and walked over. I sat down and a plate full of food was set in front of me. I thanked whoever gave it to me before starting to eat.
There was lobster, fish, chicken, and vegetables of all sorts, it truly was a feast. It was all cooked to perfection and it was all delicious.
"Let me introduce you to my dearest friends." Sinbad said to me. I nodded as I wiped my mouth. "This is Ja'far, as you know, he's my closest friend and advisor. He is also the Chief of Sindria Trading Company, and Sindria's Parliamentary Official." Sinbad said.
Ja'far looked up from his cup and scoffed before taking a sip.
"He's nice once you get to know him..." Sinbad said, smiling and rubbing the back of his neck. "Next to you is Spartos, he is one of my Eight Generals, the current King of Sasan and an Export Ship Guard."
I turned to see a man with scarlet hair next to me. His features were sharp and he had a serious expression on his face. I nodded my head in acknowledgment, Spartos nodded back politely. Then Sinbad continued.
