Chapter~2

Destiny pov.

OK so yesterday was strange especially Devin and Lynia. When we left, they acted like I don't know but it was weird. I wonder if everyone else notices too? Me and Lynia were walking. I don't know where, but I got mad bored. After a while an idea popped in my head. "Let's go to the beach!" I yelled.

"What?" She asked. She gave me a confused look.

"I said let's go to the beach," I repeated.

"Why?"

"Because I'm bored and we haven't done anything fun in a while," I said.

"What do you mean? We went swimming yesterday," she said.

"Yeah, but I actually want to do something fun outside of this boring neighborhood,"I whined.

"Fine but not the beach. I don't feel like getting wet again," she said with a serious face.

*buzz buzz*

Lynia's phoned buzzed. I think some one texted her. "Who is it?" I asked trying to look.

"Devin," she said. Hmm interesting.

"What did he say?" I asked. She ignored me. "Hello," I said snapping my fingers in her face. Still no answer. What could they be talking about?

Lynia pov.

*buzz*

I got a text from Devin. "Who is it?" Destiny asked me.

"Devin,"

"What did he say?" She asked me. I ignored her try read what he said.

*text convo*

Baby D😘❤🔐: hey you wanna chill with me today?

Me: maybe not today Destiny wants to do something with me

Baby D😘❤🔐: can't she do it tomorrow or something I want you

Me: no I have a feeling she knows

Baby D😘❤🔐: about what😐

Me: about us

Baby D😘❤🔐: so maybe its time we tell everyone

Me: no because if we do Destiny and Alora will be on my case about it

Baby D😘❤🔐: I know you told me, but never why

Me: you don't need to know why trust me

Baby D😘❤🔐: come on babe

Me: I'll tell you later I promise

Baby D😘❤🔐: whatever maybe we can hang out later on today or just tonight

Me: yeah I'll call you OK

Baby D😘❤🔐: ight

*end of convo*

I was texting Devin for so long I forgot Destiny was still with me. I looked at her. She was talking to someone. I think its Daniel, but I'm not entirely sure. I didn't really listened to the conversation, but after a while I finally interrupted. "Uh Dest," I said tapping her shoulder.

"I'll call you back," she said quickly then hung up. She turned and looked at me with a suspicious smile on her face.

"Who was that?" I asked.

"Oh um Daniel," she said.

"You're lying," I stopped crossing my arms.

"Why would you say that," her voice cracked.

"Because you my best friend. I know that when you lie your eyes look from left to right which they did," I said.

"You're right," she said looking down.

"What were y'all talking about?" I asked.

"Well do you really want the truth..."

"Of course I want the truth," I said rolling my eyes.

"Well for the past few weeks I've noticed something weird going on with you and Devin, and the rest of the crew noticed it too,"she said slowly.

"What so you mean by weird?" I asked nervously.

"Like I-i don't know you two be acting like you together or something," she stuttered a bit.

"What?"

"I really want to know. Are you dating and not telling us?" She asked.

"We..." before I could finish, somebody called me.

"hello," I said.

"hey I need you home like now," I looked at the contact it was my brother Drey.

"Why?" I asked.

"I'll tell you when you get here," he said. Before I could speak again, he hung up on me. I looked over at Destiny. She was sad.

"Hey I gotta go Drey needs m-" I was cut off.

"You need to answer my question first," she said in a commanding tone.

"I have to go NOW. I'll text you and tell you later," I said. After that I hugged her and ran home.

Drey pov.

Where is she? I have to hurry up and tell her before he's gone. Like 45 minutes later she walked through the door breathing hard. "Where has your ass been?" I asked her. She took a giant breath. "I was... walking... didn't... have my... car... ran home..." she said bent down breathing between every word. I ran to the kitchen and got her some water. "Here drink this," I said. She snatched it and sat on the couch. When she finally regained her breath, she asked me why I told her to hurry home.

"Oh dad left on a business trip," I told her.

"When? Where? Why?"

"He didn't tell me why. When he got home he ran straight upstairs and packed and said it was a late rush trip he had to take. He's gonna be gone for two weeks in Italy," I said.

"Of all the places they had to send him the sent him to Italy without taking me!" She got mad.

"Calm down sis. It's just two weeks. Dad gave me three hundred bucks for us to spend on food," I said trying to calm her down. She did. When she did I suggested we watch movies for the rest of the night. She popped some popcorn, I got drinks, and put on a funny movie.

"What we watching?" She asked.

"Norbit," I said laughing.

"Bruh that shit funny as hell," she smiled. It started. Ten minutes into the the movie I got a text from Destiny?

"Lynia?"

"Ya" she replied still looking at the movie.

"Why is Destiny asking me about you and Devin dating?" I asked.

Lynia pov.

Shit!

"Um I uh I'm," is all I said.

"What are you hiding?" He asked me.

Uh oh😦

Looks like everyone is finding out about Lynia and Devin's little secret.
