Chapter~11

Lynia

"You just gon stand there or are you gonna come over here and kiss me," i asked with the biggest smile on my face. He ran at me and we spun. Once he put me down, i put my arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss. I was only gone for 3 weeks, but it felt like forever since my lips touched his. I pulled away to breathe and looked at everyone else stare at us. We all laughed then i went to sit down on the couch.

"Baby you don't know how much I missed you," Devin told me.

"I missed all of you so much. You don't understand how painful it was being there," I said with a weak smile.

"He hurt you?!" Dev asked. I looked up at Drey. Giving him a look about if I should tell Devin or not. He shook his head no. I looked back at Devin.

"Lynia?" He said in a strong serious question tone.

"Don't worry about it baby,"

"So he did try to put his hands on you. Where is he so I can..." He went on about what he was going to do to Jacob. When he stood up, I grabbed his arm and pulled him back on the couch.

"Baby, shut up and look at me," I said as I grabbed his face.

"Do you see any marks, bruises, or scratches on me?" I asked

"No, but-"

"But there's nothing on my body to show that I was hurt. I'm perfectly fine, me and the babies are fine and healthy,"

"Ok baby," he leaned in and kissed me.

"Wait a minute, maybe I'm just hearing things but I'm pretty sure I just heard you say babies," Destiny said.

"I heard that too," Lexi added on.

"Siiiisss?"

"Yes bro," I turned and looked up at him.

"Is there some thing you need to tell us?" He asked in a more you have to tone.

"Well, I only found out like two hours ago. But before Drey helped me, I had an appointment for an ultrasound with Wanda today and she Told me I was having twins," I grinned. The girls got excited and screamed. They pushed Devin out of the way and sat around me and started talking in my ear. I looked up at Devin, and he was just looking at me with a blank face. I got up and we just stared at each other. He looked away from me.

"Babe?"I said. I heard him sniffling. "Are you..crying?" I pulled his arm and he looked at me. This man is really crying. "Aww Baby..." I pulled him into a hug.

"Devin are seriously crying right now?" Kevin said. The boys started laughing at him.

"Leave my baby alone,"

"Let them laugh baby. They don't feel the happiness I feel right now," I swear I love this man.

"So do you know the gender?" Danny asked.

"Oh yeah, do we get nieces or nephews?" Drey and Lexi said at the same time.

"You get both. You get one niece and one nephew,"

"Then I win," Devin said.

"Um first of all Its a tie..." I corrected him

"What you mean? I said it would be a girl," he complained

"And i said it would be a boy but they're twins. we both guessed right so it's a tie," I explained.

"Babe that's not fair,"

"What the hell are y'all talking about?" Alora yelled.

"A week after I told y'all I was pregnant, me and Devin made a bet guessing the sex of the baby. he guessed for a girl and I guessed for boy." I said

"Yeah and whoever guessed right got to pick the name for the baby," Devin continued.

"But since they're twins, and we both guessed right, no one pick" I said.

"Baby why are you cheating me,"

"Boy-" Kevin cut me off.

"Y'all are stupid. You're having a boy and girl and they're twins y'all both can still name what you bet. Dev can name his daughter, and Lynia can name her son. Plain and simple," Kevin said. And that's a really good Idea but I already picked the names of my children so no.

"Kev that's a great idea but I picked their names years ago,"

"Oh yeah, you planned everything," Drey said.

"What you mean?" Devin said confused.

"Lynia planned her life for when she had kids,"

"Yep, I said I wanted two kids, a boy and a girl. So, I can tell you they names right now. Ahmon Percy Allen Gordon and Janelle Angel Lynn Gordon," I told them. Devin started complaining then we both started arguing about their names. Then I had an idea.

"Okay! Since you thought our first born child would be a girl, we're having twins, and its one boy and one girl, I still bet our son will be born first,"

"Alright bet"

"Same rules . When I win I name both of them and vice versa for you,"

"Big bet,"

"Dev, as the uncle of your children, drop out of the bet know," Drey advised him

"Why?"

"Because when it comes to Lynia and guessing, she's always right. Especially with babies,"

"He's right babe. Every last baby born in my family within the last eight years i guessed and I guessed right,"

"I'm not backing down," he crossed his arms and looked down at me.

"Okay then," we did our cute little handshake to make it official.

After all of that we chilled and i got caught up with everything that happened while I was gone. It got dark then everyone went home. When everyone was gone, I walked into me and Devin's room and laid down on my comfortable bed. It felt so good I instantly felled asleep. Until my brother woke me.

"Hey Nya me and lex are bout to go get dinner what do you want to eat?" he asked. 

"Bro I'm so hungry. Can you pleeeeaase get me the biggest thing of shrimp fried rice with gravy and egg foo young from lucky star?" I begged as if I was dying of starvation. He laughed.

"Okay sis. Its just you and Devin here alright?"

"Yeah, but if you gonna call me imma be in the bath," I said pointing at my bathroom.

"Okay bye," he closed the door and left. I walked into the bathroom and ran the water for my bath. I poured in lavender scented bubble bath and Epsom salt. As I put it back in the cabinet, I heard knocking on the door.

"Dev is that you?" I asked.

"Yeah baby open the door," he said. I opened it and he came in. He looked at the bath running then asked if he could join me. I smiled at him.

"I'd really love that right now," After everything that happened all I wanted was this time with him. Plus food. We undressed and he got in first. I got in and sat down in front of him. I leaned back and he wrapped his arms around me. I closed my eyes and took a nice deep breath.

"You alright baby?"He asked concerned.

"Hmm?" 

"You just sighed like something bothering you," he said.

"I'm fine. I just feel... happy right here with you," I turned my head and smiled. He kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes and laid my head back on his chest.

"I love you," he whispered in my ear. 

"I love you too," we sat there just like that until Drey and Lexi came back with the food.
