Ok, first off, sorry for not updating this as often as I should. I would be updating every week from now on.

I hope you're still enjoying the story.

Lav y'all.

"I like you, Susan Lim."

Susan stares at the boy, her heart racing like it's never done before. Her cheeks are as red as tomatoes and her hands shaking beneath his. "M...Mark..." She really doesn't know what to say. She never really expect that this boy would feel the same way she does.

Mark is looking at her, waiting for her reaction. He's feeling nervous and scared that the girl would say she doesn't like him back. Well, it would be better to know it sooner than later so he would know what to do. But, of course, he's still hoping for a positive answer. It's his first time confessing to a girl like this and he doesn't also know what to say next.

"Mark," the girl says again. "I...." She wants to say 'I like you, too'. But .... "Uhm..." she bites her lower lip and looks down at her feet. "I'm s...." she wants to say 'I'm sorry'. But, that wouldn't come out either.

Mark's hand goes to her chin, lifting her face up so he could see into her eyes, maybe get some answers there. But, as soon as he does that, with the close proximity they're at, most especially at how enticing her lips are as she bites them, he couldn't stop himself from leaning forward and planting his lips in hers.

Susan is taken by surprise, but she doesn't move, she doesn't even say a thing. But, when Mark moves his lips, she automatically moves hers with them, closing her eyes. Everything inside her just melts and she can mentally see fireworks around her.

So this is what it feels like. She thinks, liking the feeling.

She's already unaware that Mark has put his hand around her waist and hers are around his neck. This time, she really feels like Cinderella kissing her prince.

However, her mind gets flooded of the boy sulking in his room back in the house, his mom looking at her with her eyes full of anger, and then the contract.

She pulls away quickly, looking down at her feet once again, feeling shameful at what she just did. "I'm sorry."

Mark furrows his brows, "Sorry for what?" He's holding onto her waist, feeling nervous again. He admits that when she kissed him back just earlier, he thought that she likes him too. But when she said those words, he can't help but feel doubtful again.

"Mark, I can't do this." She can't find the courage to look up and see the hurt in his eyes. "I'm really sorry."

"Can't do what?"

"I can't be with you, Mark." She looks up this time and regrets it since the boys' brows are furrowed and he's biting his lip as if controlling his anger. "The contract...Jackson..." She bends her head again. "I just can't."

"Susan," he pulls her closer, letting her look at his eyes. "Do you like me back?" He wants to confirm it, to at least know that he wasn't just dreaming when she kissed him.

"I.... I do." She finally answers, feeling ashamed again. Her cheeks are redder than ever and her heart beat starting to race again. "But..."

She isn't able to continue what she's gonna say because Mark pulls her in his arms and hugs her real tight. "That's enough for me. I'll wait, Su. I'll help you get out of that contract. Whatever it takes."

______

"Where've you been last night?" Jackson is eyeing her across the table over breakfast. He's heard her go out the house but he didn't follow because he was feeling sorry of what he did to his best friend and being confused at what the girl is making him feel.
