Find Niall.

Never mind that it was eleven at night, never mind that you and him were in the middle of a fight, never mind that you probably had no idea where he is. It didn't matter anymore because the second you saw your boyfriend in bed with another girl, the sentence flashed through your head. All was numb. You needed to find Niall.

You slammed the door of your boyfriend's (now ex's) apartment and rushed over to your car. Only until you've been driving for ten minutes did you realize you forgot to put on your seatbelt. Tears streamed down your face with no point of stopping. You couldn't see the road anymore - all you could rely on now was your memorization of the streets around you.

His house was gated, but it didn't stop you from entering. It wasn't until you pulled up to his driveway when you began to sob. The tears flowed even faster now as you gasped for air. How could your boyfriend do this to you? Did you do something wrong for something so bad to happen to you? Question after question invaded your thoughts with every hiccup.

You hear a loud sound and look up. Through your windshield you could see him in the distance, taking the trash bins out and into the driveway. He doesn't spot you at first, his gaze focused on the ground. Your sobs paused as you watched his every move - you shouldn't have come. You had no right to in the first place. Two weeks back, you two had gotten in a big fight that could potentially have ended your friendship. He didn't want you here.

The second you realized you could have escaped, he looked up. His eyes were squinted, blinded by your headlights. You turned off the engine and sat there in silence, waiting for his next move.

He put his hands in his pockets and walked over to you, completely leaving the trash bin in its place. You take that as your cue to open the door. The second he meets you, you almost expected him to say, "It's about time you apologized," but he didn't.

It was as if he knew. He saw your swollen eyes, the tear stains, the red nose. In that second, he reached for your arm and pulled you closer. The minute that happened, a fresh flood of tears appeared, powerful than the first. He let you sob on his jacket as he rubbed your back, all the while muttering a string of, "it's okay"s and "let it out"s.

When you were certain you were all out of tears, he ushers you into his house and away from the cold. You stay in one of his many spare rooms but ended up growing too lonely. At approximately three in the morning, you allow yourself to wander to his room, where he's already awake. He gestures to the spot next to him. No words were exchanged as you made your way to his bed, letting the warmth of his body lull you to sleep.

For once, things were okay.
