Dinner With The Edwards Family

Bianca's POV

When I got home after an hour run my Uncle was there talking to someone on the phone. He hanged up and turned to me saying "the leaders of the flock wish to have dinner tonight. They want us to meet their son Liam. We will be going to a restaurant, so you have to dress nicely" he finished explaining.

I nodded and was going to look for one when he saw the look on my face. He had me follow him to the kitchen and he made us a coffee each. "I found my mate today and he was the guy who never called me back. It has been eight years but I still punched him. He also happens to be Liam Edwards the future king of the flock here" I told my uncle.

He nodded and said "I'm proud you stood up for yourself. We don't have to go tonight if you don't want to" he told me. As he pulled me into a comforting hug stroking my hair. I shook my head saying we could go and I had to met my mates family.

(6:30 at restaurant)

We pulled up to the restaurant and my uncle helped me out of the car. Because of my long strapless dress and my hair was curled into a low bun. Uncle Dave wore dark blue dress pants, grey shirt and dark blue jacket.

As we walked in I caught my mates scent and lead my uncle to where the Edwards were waiting. He pulled out the chair next to Liam's and I sat down. Liam was wearing black dress pants, jacket and white shirt. His parents were about to introduce us but I stopped them by raising my hand.

"We have already met at the vet clinic and found out we are mates. It is nice to see you all together again after eight years" I said. Then Liam explained how we'd met before when we were camping in South Australia.

Emily was really happy and gave me a tight hug as his parents congratulated us. We all had a nice dinner catching up on the last eight years. His mum asked why I was in Wales with my Uncle and not with my parents.

My Uncle answered by saying "it's a werecat thing, when a female becomes old enough to mate she starts searching for her mate. Usually her older brother or uncle would go with her for protection. We have been searching for five years and have traveled the world. Before coming here wanting a break from all the traveling" he finished.

They understood then Liam's dad started to talk about us taking over. While his mum and sister started talking about us having children. This made me uncomfortable and both Liam and my Uncle saw this. Liam told his family to be quiet and we had desert in peace.

At the end of the night Liam gave me his number and Emily invited me for a sleepover. I told her we could do it on the weekend with Sarah also. I gave Liam my number and left with my uncle.

When we got back to the house I went to my room. I changed into pj's, removed my make-up, and let my hair loss.  I hoped into bed and dreamed of my handsome mate.
