Dear Maddy,

I read Jake's letter today. He didn't seem very sincere did he? I guess none of these letters seem sincere. Except mine. I still miss you, I always do. It just doesn't feel like you're gone.

Today I went to your apartment. No one was there, but I knew where the spare key was. We always kept it by that lantern, remember?

I went in and found your notebook. You really loved me, huh? You said I was the only thing keeping you going. It's amazing because I felt the same way. I need to stop because I'm going to cry. But I wanted to say that I loved the song you wrote about me. It was called Beside You wasn't it? It was amazing, and maybe some day I can finish what you didn't.
