I awoke to the slight smell of smoke and the sight of pitch black darkness. Well, this was a bit different. I've had my share of weird summonings, but this took the cake. I mean, where is my master? I could smell a strong odor, very brute-like. I felt a shudder down my spine. Smoke? I found an exit and scaled the small latter out into the night. When I emerged, I found the source of the smell. That house is on fire. I noticed a seven year old girl on the roof, completely passed out. There was a brute in armour, wielding an axe, not far from her body. I quickly acted.

I used my sacred power. Every familiar has one. Even if this kid wasn't mine, I wasn't gonna let her get taken by that ugly bastard. I flew to the roof and grabbed the young lady, whipped my gust at the man, who fell off the building, and flew up to see the destruction. The man sadly didn't perish. Carrying a small child probably wouldn't go well for me if I dealt with him myself.

I flew over a thick wall that had to be two hundred feet high, only to land in a soft, floral outburst on the edge of a thick forest. I lay the girl down and placed a feather on her throat to release the poison from her air passages. I'd realized when we landed, she has the same scent as that mysterious room from which I awoke. I again transformed back and fell to a sound slumber. We had much to discuss when I awoke.

I didn't know I would wake again. I fluttered my eyes to see a bright sunshine and smell nelune flowers. When it hit me that I wasn't home with papa, I jumped up. I looked around and saw a strange black and white puff that was moving right next to me. I shrieked and ran to a nearby lemonspice tree. The thing moved up onto what looked like legs. It had four of those things. Fluffy horns on it's head started to twitch as it kooed to me.
"Hey, I'm not your enemy. I'm the one that saved you from those brutes."
I slowly peaked from behind the trees. How could a little puff save me?
"I can hear you, ya know. I used my power of light. Also, aren't you a little young to be casting magic?"
I blinked. Twice. Is this thing my familiar?
"Yes. And I'm not a thing. I'm a cat. C-A-T. Cat."
Puzzling. This puff is called something. Realization hit me, "Really? Cat is my familiar?"
"No. My name isn't cat. I am a cat. Just like you are a witch."
"What is your name, then?" I pondered
"I have none, silly child. Didn't you get taught that you name your familiar?" I could see his digging expression.
"Ummm.. right. Can I think of it?"
His eyes brightened and he chuckled a kitty chuckle, "the more you think about it, the better I'll take to it."
After thinking for a while, it came to me.
"Yivyth! It means guiding light."
"I'm not sure to which language you are referring to, but it isn't witchland. I shall, however except it." He continued with an enchant to bound his name to me. I guess familiars use magic too. "By any chance, have you been living in brutecountry?"
He found out. Yivyth found out. He's going to take me to Ghoulra.
"I won't take you to Ghoulra. I have to recover before taking you to the heavens. Also, no matter what has happened to lead you to be partial brute, I am your familiar and must accept you the way you are."
I like this cat. He makes me feel safe and protected. I hope we can stay together for a long time.
"So my kooing made a good first impression? Not my intention. I can be wickedly evil our holy light depending on your heart's wish. Don't you see, I'm black and white?"
