So, this is a bit of background for the kid. Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was a beautiful princess-- sorry, wrong story. It starts out in the same manor though.

What you need to know is, there are two types of people. Ok, there's more, but we'll narrow it down. We have the brutes, you can guess by the name that they're strong and powerful, yet not as bright, and the witches. The thin, elegant people, classified as a higher status due to their brilliance. These people hate each other more than Republicans and Democrats, as they have divided the large world into two halves to keep each other separated. The wall, built with divertidite, a really strong metal, almost unbreakable.

There was a young witch, starting out her career in plants and animals, the science behind there divine happiness, conducting experiments to shine the brightest light on what makes them glow. Man, I wish I was there. Anyway, one day, as she was looking out across her wondrous land, she saw a figure running towards the city she lived on the outskirts of.

Why she went after the figure? Don't ask me, I wouldn't know. The point is that she did, to protect her city, even if it didn't need protection. She made her plants grow to form a sphere around the figure, who fiercely began breaking through the rapidly regenerating overgrowth. As she approached the dome, she realized it was a brute. Quickly acting, she put him under a sleeping spell and enclosed him in a room, plants ready to stop him at any moment from ripping out of his cell.

When the man had awoken, he found food on a thin, copper tray. Not knowing what the sustenance was, however, he chose not to eat. More of a smart choice for a brute to make. The young witch approached and told him to rest while she offered shelter. She wished for a trade off. If she could gain his trust, he could man the chores as she gave protection and continued her experiments effortlessly.

The man agreed to rest a while and she gave him herbal remedies to heal his bruised hands and feet. As time went on and he got stronger, she convinced him that "rather than wasting away in that room I've given you, you could at the last chop me some firewood before winter hits." The man, out of respect, did just that; and as she continued to persuade him as a thanks to saving his life, they both grew to appreciate the other's company.

As time went on, they slowly fell in love and she became a vessel for their love they shared. Only then, would someone inspect the research and realize the harbouring brute she had. They had kidnapped him and he was to be beheaded the next day. He had told the fair witch of his friend in brutecountry that could take care of their child, and as she was due any day and would be tried for her crimes if she was caught, she left in a hurry.

This is where our story takes place.
