Kylie blinked, but there was nothing to see when she opened her eyes.

Had she gone blind? How would she survive if she had gone blind? Or worse... was she dead?

And what the hell just happened?

Panic rushed through Kylie's bruised body and she felt like she couldn't breathe, like she was being smothered by something, but... but wait. What was this soft sensation against her cheek? Something felt soft and velvety against her skin, almost like cotton or... the carpet in her glam room?

It couldn't be!

Kylie tried to open her eyes once more, but her eyelids were too heavy.

No, she was definitely not in her religiously fashionable room because her room certaintly did not smell of smoke or cheap scented candles.

So if she weren't in her room, where in the hell was she?

Kylie lifted her head slowly from where she was laying flat out on the floor. Her neck ached and she let out a small umph as she pushed herself into standing position. She didn't dare to open her eyes before she was fully on her feet, afraid of what she would encounter once she opened her eyes.

She breathed a sigh of relief when she discovered she had not gone blind afterall, but the relief was soon engulfed by dread.

Kylie looked around, her heart pounding in her chest, sweat forming in tiny pearls on her forehead. Something was extremely not right. She spat out small hairs and dust from her mouth that most possibly had been engrossed in the carpet, and gagged.

Do people not vaccum??

"Hello?" a high pitched voice asked. "Are you alright?"

Kylie flinched, and clumsily bumped a wooden table behind her stacked with candlesticks and porcelain jars. They clinked loudly and hit into each other, almost falling off the table.

A petite girl stood in front of her with a puzzled look on her round face, probably the person who had just asked Kylie a question. The girl was wearing a large dress made of what looked like silk, the dress making her hips look gigantic under the piles of fabric. Kylie was a bit jealous. How did the girl manage to get such huge hips?

Kylie's eyes traveled up the girl's tiny frame and discovered she didn't look much older than herself.

Her brown hair was in the shape of corkscrews, partly down and partly up in a bun. It looked laughable, so that is what Kylie did - laugh. She had ended up at a Halloween party. Her sisters must have dragged her to some kind of lame Halloween party! Oh what a relief! It all made sense now.

The girl looked even more perplexed and didn't quite know where to position her hands. "Are you alright?" she asked again, her large eyes filled with concern.

Kylie stopped laughing at the bewildered girl. She cleared her throat and straightened her back. "To be honest, I do feel a bit bruised."

Kylie gazed out in what was probably a hallway. She hadn't really taken in the rest of the room; the red carpeted floor, the walls and the small table in front of a mirror. The furniture were either red, gold or brown. It was a gruesome color combination. Yuck! Kylie wanted to leave this party this instant! She couldn't be seen here, it would murder her reputation.
