LUCAS P.O.V
"It was great seeing you!" Maya said as we walk out of the theater. Farkle and Smackle say the same then we head our different ways. Finally.
We walk towards the street in silence. I don't really know what to say. I don't really hang out with Maya alone.
"So," Maya says. "Did you like the movie?" I meet her blue eyes and give it a two thumbs up. "Yea I really liked it. Especially since it was all girls this time. It definitely shows that girls can get ghost too. If that makes any sense." Maya laughs and I blush.
"You got some feminism in ya Friar." She laughs in the middle but continues. "Where'd you get that from?"
"Well, after that science experiment that we did in middle school and you almost sacrificing yogi, which was very scary by the way, I've been a hardcore feminist ever since." Maya giggles and I blush instantly.
"I was pretty badass don't ya think." I laugh and say: "yea."
We continue talking about the movie and before I knew it, we were already at Maya's apartment.
Maya's neighborhood isn't the best. There's always at least two gun shots you can hear from the distance and some car chases. Usually Riley lets Maya sleepover. Especially when Maya's mom is not home. But today Riley has plans and Maya's mom is not coming back till 6 am. So....
"Ok Huckleberry here's my stop. See you maybe later." She puts her hands on her pockets and starts heading inside. But before she goes in I put my hand on her shoulder. She turns around quickly.
"Are you sure you want to stay alone tonight? You can stay at my house. I have an extra guest bedroom." I blurt out. Crap
"You don't have to be sympathetic towards me Hop-a-long. I can take care of myself. Besides, even if I want to, which I don't, what will Riley think?" She's right. I love Riley and I wouldn't do that to her. I shouldn't and I won't. But my heart is telling me otherwise.
"I insist Maya and I'm not saying no for an answer." I grab her hand without knowing and I start walking towards my neighborhood. Maya surprisingly goes along. Usually she would be trying to break free of my grip. Or at least complain. I stop for a second to check on her. She's asleep. Of course.
I pick her up bridal style and walk along. The city is absolutely beautiful at night. No honking cars or random people. Just me, Maya, and the beautiful city. I turn my shoulder to hear her slightly snoring I laugh. Her snore is adorable.
After a few minutes we arrived in my apartment. I walk slowly up the stairs not wanting Maya to wake up. I fumble around in my pockets to get the keys and unlock the door.
My apartment isn't the best but it's durable for me. I have one bathroom and two rooms with a small kitchen and living room. But the decorations is what makes it feel like home.
Maya would definitely laugh at the decorations if she were awake right now. It's filled with all my Texas stuff. Including my cowboy hats, a picture of a white horse and family, and my favorite cowboy boots and rope.
No one has ever been to my apartment, not even Riley. She keeps begging me to show her mine but I always say no. I just don't really have it in me to show it to her. But here I am, taking not my lover but her best friend into my apartment. Oh how the tables have turned.
I put Maya down on the couch for a few. I go to the guest room and organize/clear the bed. I fluff the pillows and undo the bed. Afterwards, I carry Maya to the bedroom. I take off her white converse and set them aside the door. I then tuck Maya in, being extra careful not to wake her up. I take a deep breath and smile. I did it.
I look at her for a few minutes and I couldn't help but grin. She's absolutely so beautiful inside n out. A blonde beauty indeed.
I start to walk out the door but before I close it, I hear a faint whisper: "Goodnight Lucas." I smile from ear to ear and close the door. Goodnight Maya Penelope Hart.

sorry for not uploading in a while. I was on vacation for a few days and I've been very busy. School is coming up soon and I'm not excited at all.
I finally have a chapter with just them alone yay!!!! I'm sorry if this is pretty short I was doing the best I can. Aren't they just the cutest together omg!!
I promise u guys I will update more frequently! I'm gonna start on the next chapter tonight and it might upload by the end of his week!!
