Maya's POV
I wake up and yawn. What happened last night? Did I really sleep that long? I check my surroundings. This isn't my room. What the heck? I rub my eyes. This is just a dream. Just a dream. I open my right eye to check. Oh crap it's still the same. Did I get kidnapped? Am I in heaven?
"You're finally awake sleepyhead." I turn my head to see Lucas. Since when was he here?
Wait. A bed. Lucas and me. Omg
"DID WE HAVE SEX?!" I ask loudly. Lucas stares at me and cracks up. He laughs so hard that he falls to the ground. I puff and cross my arms.
"So did we?" Lucas stops laughing and gives me the: "Are you serious?"
"You're joking right?" He asks.
"Nope. Now tell me. Did. We. Have. Sex.?"
"Of course not Maya. Why would we? That would be stupid." Lucas scratches the back of his neck awkwardly. We both laugh at the same time which causes some tension.
"Anyway, do you wanna eat? I made pancakes." I gasp in excitement and run out the door. Lucas follows shortly after.
"I'm pretty surprised Friar, the pancakes actually look good. I figured you would burn them or set the house on fire." I say. Lucas smiles in achievement.
"Anything for my favorite short stack of pancakes." Lucas smirks. Was he flirting with me? We both sit and Lucas pours the syrup on his pancakes.
"Wait!" Lucas takes my plate of pancakes. "If you're a short stack of pancakes and you're gonna eat them...omg. That's cannibalism!" Lucas gasps and wraps his arm around the plate. I lunge towards him but he places his free hand on my fore-head. He laughs as I swing my arms wildly to try to get the pancakes.
"I'm starving Huckleberry!" Give me those pancakes!!" I yell.
"Never!" Lucas quickly gets out of his chair and runs. Oh it is so on.
I start chasing him but his long legs outmatch mine. In just a matter of minutes I'm already sweaty and panting. You're so athletic Maya.
"Do you give up Hart?" Lucas says.
Don't be so cocky yet Ranger Rick. I walk up to smile and say: "Never." I quickly tackle him and fall down in the process. Me on top of him.
Lucas and I both groan then look at each other. We both blush then get off of each other.
I can't believe that happened. Talk about awkward.
"Hey." Lucas says "where's the pancakes?" I look up and down and realize.
"It's all over me right?" Lucas bites his lips trying hard not to laugh. I frown and I take parts of the pancake off. Being the silly dofus that he is, he starts laughing.
"Haha very funny. Can you not focus on your maniac laughing and help me!' Lucas stops laughing and walks over to help. He grabs pieces of pancake off of my clothes. I blush every time he touches me. To be honest, it's turning me on.
After a few more minutes of whatever just happened, I'm finally pancake free but I still don't have anything to eat. Lucas is off to who knows where so I look around his apartment. I notice how it's modern but has some Texas. I see his cowboy hat and bots and laugh. He really is a cowboy. Whoop dee do.
I slowly progress to the kitchen stand. I see some pictures with his family but then I see a picture that caught my eye. It was him and Riley on there first date, holding hands. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Riley was freaking out. She had no idea what to wear so I had to help her. It was hilarious. And the look on Lucas' face when he saw Riley was priceless. His mouth was wide open and I closed it shut. It was hilarious. Farkle and I also went on a "date" together but I paid attention to Riley and Lucas more. I wanted to make sure Riley was all right. That's what friends our for. But I stopped because I could tell that Lucas was the one for Riley.
Wait a second. What am I doing here? This is Riley's boyfriend I'm hangin gout with here. And I would never betray her. I have to get out of here.
"Hey Maya. I got you some extra clothes if you need them." Lucas says from the top of the stairs.
"Oh no it's fine. My mom just texted me that I have to leave right now." I say as I put my converse on. Lucas looks at me with a look that says: "You're lying." But he doesn't fight it.
"See you later Huckleberry." I say as I shut the door. I put my back behind the door and slowly slide down. What have I gotten myself into?

I really like this chapter cuz of the great lucaya moments. Especially when they fall on top of each other ;) And the fact that I updated is great too!!
Orginally I was going to post yesterday but Wattpad didn't save my chapter so all of my hard work was gone :( The good thing is that I wrote my draft on a notebook so it's all good.
