Birthday

Fionna's PoV

"SURPRISE!" everyone yelled from my apartment. "oh sweet candy kingdom people you scared me!" I said putting my hand over my heart and walking into the apartment. The entire place was decorated with balloons and streamers and a big banner that said "happy birthday" on it. Everyone I knew was was here. I walked into my room and put my coat up. When I walked out I saw everyone socializing and a big pile of gifts.

"How long have you been planning this cake?" I said walking over to my sister. "about a week" "did you do it yourself?" "no, marshal helped." "you actually let someone else help you with my birthday?" "yea and it wasn't easy getting her to let me help" Marshal said wrapping his arms around my waist. "happy birthday Fi" Marshal whispered into my ear. "enjoy the party" cake said walking away.

I turned around to face Marshal. "you know I thought you forgot my birthday" "how could I forget. I've been deciding on what to get you for the past 2 weeks" "did you decide on something?" "well yea but you'll get it later." he said pulling me close to him.

I blushed and smiled up at him. Marshal is considerably taller then I am so us looking at each other this close kills both our necks.

I gave marshal a quick kiss and walked over to Ben and Marceline. "happy birthday Fionna" Marceline and Ben said at the same time. "thanks guys." I said smiling. "so how are you liking the party?" Ben said intertwining his fingers with Marcy's. "it's nice." I said looking at Marceline with a curious face. She returned with a look that said "no I haven't". I smiled and told them I was gonna say hi to everyone else and walked off.

I walked over to Bonnie and Francis. "hey guys" "happy birthday" Bonnie said giving me a hug. "thanks". Me and Francis are friends but I'm a little uncomfortable with him sense the night at the movies. "are you enjoying winter break?" I said adjusting my skirt. "yea it's fine" Francis said flatly. "good". I smiled and walked away. That was awkward.

The lights went out and everyone started to sing happy birthday. Marshal walked out of the kitchen with a blue and red cake. I smiled and gave him a quick kiss when he put the cake infront of me. I closed my eyes and made a wish. After I blew out the candles everyone clapped and the lights came on and cake was served.
