Graduation

Marshal's PoV

I was completely nervous. My name was called and I stood. I walked up to the man, accepted the piece of paper that held my future, and shook the mans hand before walking off the stage. I was gonna do it today. I sat back and watched my friends walk across the stage to get there diplomas as their names were called.

"Fionna Murtens"

She looked beautiful, even in the green graduation gown. Her hair was down in soft waves and she had on the smallest amount of makeup she could wear by Cake's ruling. Im pretty sure I cheered the loudest. Once she got off the stage she walked back over to get section. We waited in anticipation as the rest of the graduating class was called.

"Congratulation class of 2014!"

Everyone and I mean everyone cheered. On three we all grabbed our caps and threw them high in the air. Fionna ran over to me and almost tackled me in a hug. "We made it!" she cheered. I grinned and picked her up and spun her around. "Good job babe" She giggled and we kissed. It was amazing.

Later that day we were at our house with Marceline, Bonnie, Ben, Franky, Cake, and all the parents, celebrating our graduation. We were dancing at the moment while the parents conversed. Half way through the party I walked to the front of the room and called for everyone's attention. Everyone stopped and looked towards me.

"Fi can you join me?" Fionna raised an eyebrow and walked over to me. The music stopped playing and all eyes were on us. I turned to Fionna and smiled. "Fionna, you mean the absolute world to me. I really don't see my life without you in it. I've been trying to find a way to keep you with me for as long as possible and I could only come up with this" I kneeled in front of her and pulled the small velvet box out of my pocket.

"Fionna Murtens, will you be the Mrs. to my crueger and marry me?" (brownie points if you remember where that's from) I opened the box and Fionna looked like she was gonna cry or faint. "Yes! yes yes yes yes yes!" She wrapped her arms around me and I quickly wrapped my arms around her. Everyone cheered and clapped. I pulled back and slipped the ring on her finger. "I love you" she grinned. "I love you too" I leaned down and stole a very sweet kiss.

Today was perfect.
