Emily POV
I hear an alarm go off and I sigh as I open my eyes, seeing Alison's back to me in my bed as she turns it off. Her body flips so she's facing me and I smile lightly as she just stares at me.
"What? Do I have morning breath?"
Alison's face breaks out into a smile as she shakes her head, leaning in and kissing me softly. The suction of our lips is heard as I move my body to get on top of hers.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
I shoot my eyes open as I lay alone in bed.
I gulp and widen my eyes as I realize what I was dreaming about. What. The fuck. The annoying blaring of my alarm snaps me out of my trance. I pick up my alarm clock and chuck it, only to hear the shrill shriek from Hanna, "what the fuck do you think you're doing?!" She shrieks at me and I frown, "what the fuck do you think you're doing in my room?"
"Measuring. It seems that your room is approximately 37 square feet bigger than mine. So I want it. I'm petty that way." She snaps the measuring tape shut, smiling at me in her devilish way.
"Yeah right. Careful Marin, I think all of that hairspray is getting to your head."
Hanna laughs in a fake manner, then strolls over to my bed, "I applaud that little performance at the homecoming assembly Emily. That kiss convinced all of those idiots at our hippie freak show school that you and Alison are vag-atarians. But, you stole my crown and now I steal your room. Or else." Her eyes are menacing and demented, making my nerves hitch.
"Or else what?" I push and she smirks, "oh you'll see. Breakfast time!" She walks out of my room and I scoff, "threatening little bitch." I stand up and get dressed and ready for the day.
A day of lies, that is.
Why did I have a dream of Alison? Kissing me.
It must just be the plan getting to my head. Yeah, that's it! I'm getting so wrapped up in it that my brain is starting to think it's real!
I would never actually have a dream of making out with Alison for real...right?
Well you did feel sparks and butterflies when you two kissed at the assembly.
Oh zip it brain. I did not feel anything for Alison. She's my best friend! And plus, I'm not even a lesbian.
"Emily! Breakfast!" Mom shouts up the stairs to me just as I am walking down them which makes me groan at the loudness that is her voice. "Coming, mother."
We all sit and Tom makes us bless the food before we eat which I think is stupid. Who blesses breakfast? Well I guess religious people do...whatever.
My mom is very religious. Do I hate it? Yes. I don't really believe in religion that much but if I told her that, she'd drop dead. Literally.
"Lord, bless Pam today as she drives to her job out in the news world. Let her arrive happily and safely there. God bless her and that beautiful mind you gave her. And beautiful heart." Mom smiles and we all say "amen", then I start eating my Frosted Flakes in a hurry to get out of this annoying "family" meal and get right to school.
"Honey, slow down. You have plenty of time to get ready," mom says and I frown at her. Hanna chuckles, "she is ready."
I chew and glare at the blonde and say, "but thanks anyway for that lovely ego boost."
Mom sighs, "Emily, I'm sorry. But you have such gorgeous hair that you just let hang there limp!" She tries to fix my hair but I brush her away, groaning. "And plus, those look like a homeless man's pajamas." She eyes my outfit and I groan, "can we not bash on Emily this morning? Thank you."
