Chapter 10

Arianna

*Flash Back***

"Where's my fucking money?" Joe said hitting my mother harder and harder.

"Joe what are you talking about?" My mom said not telling the truth.

"Don't fucking play with me bitch. Arianna come here!" He said startling her.

Arianna nervously walked up to him looking down at her mother on the floor with a bloody nose. With out any care in the world Joe slapped Arianna across the face.

"Where the fuck is my money?!" He yelled.

"Its gone— its gone......" She said panicking.

"What the fuck you mean its gone?" He said clenching his jaw.

"Arianna baby stop crying and go to your room and try to go to sleep momma's going to be ok." Arianna's mom said.

2 years later

"Arianna point to the man that's been abusing you and your mother for 5 years."  The police officer said.

"I don't see him." She said lying, because she was scared.

"Look baby don't be scared he can't see you and once you point him out he'll be gone for good."  The lady police officer assured her.

Arianna was already terrified for her and her mother's life. He already threatened both of them if they ever told on him. But eventually Arianna and her mother gave in, sentencing him to 20 years.

Nia

Today was the day that I was going to meet Quince at the park to explain everything. All I wanted us to basically do is express our feelings for eachother.
I looked around the park and I was the only one around. Next thing you know I felt something hard hitting my head causing me to black out.

Syncere
"I'm glad y'all came I need y'all help." I said glancing at my phone Nia should've been here.

"Adonis Arianna didn't want to break up with you she had no choice, she didn't want you or us to get hurt. Its this man who've been abusing her when she was little and now he's back to get revenge." Syncere said.

"Why couldn't she tell me this?" Adonis said confused and worried at the same time.

"Cause she really like you and she didn't want you to get hurt." Syncere assured him.

"So what's the deal?" Deondre asked.

It was kind of weird inviting him here, but I had to put my feelings aside and fix this shit.

"Aye where N—?" Quince was just about to say until Arianna came in the door.

"What the hell is going on?" Arianna asked with a confused look on her face.

"Why you didn't tell me?" Adonis said walking up to Arianna.

"Nigga I just told you how many times you gonna ask. Arianna your not leaving and were going to end this niggas life." Syncere said getting up.

"Is anybody gonna tell me where the fuck is Nia?" Quince asked stepping forward.

"We gotta go they got her!" Arianna said starting to panic.

"Everybody calm down, we gotta split up Arianna and Adonis y'all get together and  Syncere and Deondre y'all get together." Quince said grabbing his car keys making his way out.
