"Cordelia." I hear someone say then I wake up and hold my chest.
I look next to me, seeing that Ayato had left and I was by myself. The pain strikes back in my chest and I gasp, holding my chest as I sit up, trying to catch my breath. The pain then subsides and I get out of bed, then getting changed. I get changed into a grey crop top sweatshirt, light denim ripped jeans, and white converse, leaving my hair down.
I jump down from my balcony, landing on my feet then I walk towards the lake that was behind the garden. I stand along the shoreline of the lake, staring at the water as the wind calmly blows. I take a deep breath as I put my hands in the pocket of my sweatshirt, closing my eyes.
I hear squeaks as I turn around, seeing a mausoleum near the lake. I walk towards it, standing in front of it, staring at it. The squeaking then gets closer as bats fly out, flying at my head then I scream, swatting them away.
"Hey, go away! You have better things to do than mess with me!" I shout as I swat the bats away.
"Sheesh, keep it quiet." Shu calls out then I walk in the mausoleum.
"Shu, is that you?" I ask, seeing Shu sitting down and leaning on a wall as he reads a book.
"Do you need something?" He asks then I shake my head.
"Sorry for barging in on you, but I want to know something." I answer then I look at him. "There's this woman that I see outside my window from time to time and it makes me feel very unsteady." I tell him then I sigh. "I just don't feel like my normal self." I add as I shrug my shoulders.
"Really?" Shu asks then he looks up at me. "All right, then come here." He demands.
I look up at him with my eyes wide as he wraps his arm around my waist. He pulls me towards him then lays me down on a bench in the mausoleum. He caresses my cheek then strokes my hair as I tremble.
"Let me go!" I demand then Shu smiles as he puts his thumb on my neck.
"Wearing such a short shirt," he starts as he looks down at me, "you just showing yourself off, do you?" Shu asks as he leans towards my neck.
"No, please don't." I beg then Shu bites into my neck.
I wince then I look at him with fear taking me over. His eyes widen as he removes his fangs from inside my neck, looking down at the bite mark.
"Your blood has changed. The awakening is at hand." Shu tells me then he hovers over me.
"What awakening? What the hell is going on here?" I ask.
Blood streams down from my neck, making Shu smirk as he wipes it with his thumb, looking at it.
"Your blood is much different now." He comments then he licks the blood off of his thumb then smiles. "It's now hot and bursting out now." Shu comments.
He opens his mouth with a hiss as he bares his fangs, biting into my neck again. I lift my hands up and against his shoulders, trying to push him away. He sits up and grabs my hand as he looks at my frightened face.
"Your neck isn't the only thing that is supplied with blood, you know? Fresh, new blood flows down to the wrists." Shu tells me then he puts my arm right next to his face as he rubs against it. "I can just tell, even through your skin. It smells so delicious." Shu compliments.
I clench my fists, attempting to hide the scar on my hand from cutting it at times and the bites marks from where Aiden, Annaliese, Nova, and Star would bite it.
"Don't move." Shu commands.
He bares his fangs then he bites into my wrist, making me yelp. He removes his fangs from my wrist then smiles at me.
