Chapter 2

You get up in the morning to a sticky bed.

You're cold, and tired (since you stayed up all last night), and you're very grumpy.

Watching gay porn wasn't the smartest thing in the world. Especially since you liked it.

But porn is porn, you tell yourself, anyone would get off on that!

Which isn't that true.

You get dressed in your usual jeans and t-shirt, a jacket thrown over it. Then ate breakfast and read the note your mom left you before her and your dad left for work this morning. Your friends come to pick you up and you sit in the back (as always) with Drew beside you. You head to school as normal. You are bored all through first period, as normal. You finish all your work in second period early, as normal. Everything is fine. Everything is normal.

Until you get to lunch.

Drew isn't in your lunch period, sadly. He's been trying to get his schedual changed so he does but he has yet so you're stuck with your obnoxious friends from Spanish.

Brendan is okay, he's a shorter kid with darker skin but he's smart and funny and always helps you in Spanish. And Christian is cool, though he's a little quiet the times he does speak is full of sharp wit that is just so perfect that it almost seems planned. But Mathew is just annoying. He's too loud and too obnoxious and way too expressive with his dislike for everything. He's always talking and making crude jokes that you used to think were funny (or did you?) but again, ever since your little change nothing has really been the same.

He is also the one that got that girl's attention the other day, the one that said you were the worst kind of people. You're kind of sad to admit, you could see her point. You've been noticing just how stupid all those little jokes Mathew pulled were. Like randomly shouting out words in class like "Rectum!" and "Testicles!" were amusing and not completely stupid. I mean, what was it that you really acomplished by that other than making yourself look like an ass?

You feel as if you really need to rethink your life.

"Hey, Trevor," Brendan pulls you out of your thoughts as he laughs. "What do you bet I can't hit that girl over there with this?" He holds up his empty milk carton and points to Brianna. You know that both Brianna and Brendan like each other and they both know they like each other but they act more like bickering siblings than anything else.

"No way," Mathew scoffs. "She's like three tables away!"

You look at where Brianna is and see that Mathew is right, Brendan will never be able to hit Brianna from that far away.

"You won't hit her," You say.

"You wanna bet?" Brendan grins at you, leaning across the table, his dark hair flopping into his eyes.

Don't do it, Trevor! Don't bow into the peer pressure-!

"Bach! Bach!" Brendan and Mathew mock, even Christian gets in on it for a bit.

Don't, Trevor! You'll regret-

"Bach-!"

"Fine!" You exclaim loudly and let out a large groan. "Whatever, just shut up!"

"Yes!" Mathew pumps his fist into the air then turns to Brendan. "Okay then, Shequile O'Neal, what's the prize?"

"Prize?" Brendan ask.

"Yeah, what do we get if we win?" You asked, already regretting the cave in.

"Uh, I don't know," Brendan shrugs.
