"Do you really have to go?" Simon let out a sad smile from across the room.
I looked at him, sympathy in my eyes. I took in all of the boy's wonderful features. From his eyes to his face, even the way he talked. Everything about this boy made me feel wheezy, in a good way. He made my heart flutter, and even though I'm adamant that he thinks of me as a friend, and nothing more, I can't help but think of what more we could be.
"Hello? Y/N?"
I snapped back out of my thoughts to see a very concerned Simon watching me from his position on my bed. His blue eyes sparkling and his dirty-blonde hair shimmering in the late-afternoon sunlight. He smiled when I finally snapped back into reality.
"Huh? Sorry! Oh- Yes, Si, I do have to go. My brother needs me over in LA, I can't just leave him." My voice sounded hurt, as if I didn't want to leave, "I'll be gone a few months, I hope."
"Me too" I heard the boy mumble.
I continued to pack for a few hours until I was finally ready. I took one look at my fairly empty room before looking down at my suitcase, it had all that I needed packed, mainly clothes- and a football Simon insisted that I took with me, just for good luck. At first I rejected it, but after a while I had to accept.
"I'll drive you to the airport, Y/N. It's the least I can do for a friend" Si smiled, taking my bags from me and running out of the house with them, before placing them in the boot of his car.
I followed, pondering over being called a friend. Why did it hurt so much? Why couldn't I just get over this boy? I hopped into the car, unaware of the sad, hurt look on my face.
Simon looked at me, a soft smile forming across his lips. He looked forward, before driving off. Of course, we had our seat belts on first.
The whole car ride, I looked out of the window. Several times Simon would ask me if I was okay, and I would just nod. Truth was, I loved Simon. I had fallen so hard for him, and I didn't want to let him go.

When we eventually arrived, Simon insisted on bringing me into one of the nearby restaurants, and waiting with me, he also insisted on buying the food.
"Hey um... Y/N?"
"Yeah, Simon?"
"Now uh, this might sound a little crazy but- I've liked you for a long time, like years, but I've never been able to tell you, I've always been so afraid... But I just can't hide it anymore, so will you... Be mine?"
I stared at Simon, he had felt the same way all these years? I said nothing, but stood up and hugged him, crying slightly.
"Yes Simon, Yes! Of course!"
"Shh, don't cry. You're the best thing to ever happen to me, Y/N. I love you"
"I love you too, Si"
We parted for a second. And before I knew it, Simon had leaned, and kissed me. It took a moment or two for me adjust to the situation, but I soon did. Eventually, he pulled away, a grin plastered on his face.
"Now go catch that plane, babe"
