Delilah obeyed the doctors orders and stayed on bed rest for two weeks. It drove her crazy but she did it as if she had a choice. If Cole wasn't watching her like a hawk, he had Caroline, Lacey or Luke do it for him.

Three weeks later Delilah  was working on her laptop on the couch with her feet propped up when there was a knock on the door. "Cole!" She called. Her husband was in his office working on a new song. "Cole!" She called out again.  He didn't respond. She put her laptop on the coffee table and swung her legs off the couch. She carefully got up and padded to the door. She flipped the lock and opened the door.

"Delilah Swindell?" The delivery guy asked.

"Yes, that's me."

"Package." He held out a clipboard. "Sign here please."

She looked at the box carefully as she signed the paper. "Thank you."

She carried the box back into the living room as Cole came out as she was getting ready to open the box. "What do you think you are doin?" He jumped in front of her.

"Opening this box. The delivery guy just dropped it off. Now move." She tried to reach around him.

"No, ma'am. This is a surprise. You can't open it yet." Cole shook his head.

"Cole." She put her hands on her hips. "Let me open it."

"No... Now... aren't you supposed to be resting?"

"Dr. Evans said light house work..."

"He also said take it easy." Cole led her back to the couch. She was pouting. He grinned. "You are so cute when you don't get your way." He brushed a hair out of her face. "Joel and Lacey are goin to be here soon. I was thinkin Chinese for supper."

"Sounds good." She slid closer to him. "If you let me open that box I'll give you..."

Cole stood up. "Not gonna work. You have another week before we can do that. But nice try." He smirked.

"Awww... come on."

"Nope. Now I tell you what you can give me though."

"What?"

"A kiss." He leaned down but she turned her head. "No."

"Pretty please?" He whispered in her ear.

Delilah  felt her resolve weakening. She turned to head back to see blue eyes looking at her full of love. She pressed her mouth to his. He pulled her back to her feet to have them flush against each other.

Her arms wrapped around his neck as he deepened the kiss. Four weeks without being able to make love was pushing both of them to the limit but at the same time it was bringing them closer than ever.

"I seriously hope this next week flies by." She mumbled against his mouth.

"You and me both." He responded pulling back. He pecked her lips. "You want a glass of wine?"

"Yes please." She sat back down on the couch. "White." Before he could even ask. He shook his head and headed for the kitchen.

She picked up her laptop and went back to work on the designs. Cole handed her the glass as she saved her work.

"How's the new line comin?" He asked picking up her legs to sit down beside her. He put them across his lap.

"Good. The spring line is almost finished. It should be ready to go by mid-February." She sipped her wine. "What about the new song?"
