Olive's point of view
Oscar told me that Otto was in the men's locker room. I walked in there to see Otto sitting on the bench in there. He sighed then looked down. ''Hey Otto'' I greeted him. ''Ah! Olive, you scared me.'' He replied whipping his eyes. ''What's wrong Otto?'' I asked him.
''Nothing, I'm fine.'' he tells me. ''You are not fine if you look that sad now what is wrong?'' I asked him. ''My parents got into a really bad argument last night and he left.'' He told me. ''What?' I asked him. He started to cry a little. I hugged him as he silently cried.
I can't ask him, if he could stay with me. He is going through a tough time right now and I don't have the heart to do it. ''My mom is depressed; she's been drinking and-'' He broke down and cried again. He continued, ''My mom's been hitting us. I've been staying at her house to make sure she didn't hurt them.''
''How long has this been going on?'' I asked him. ''Three months'' He answered. ''3 mouths! Otto, why didn't you tell me when this started happening?!'' I asked him. ''I was scared.'' He responded. ''Scared of what?'' I asked him.
''Scared of what she might do to me if I did tell someone.'' He answers. ''I wouldn't be able to live with myself if she did.'' He tells me.
''You do know you can tell me anything right?'' I told him. ''Of course.'' He replied. I hugged him. He hugs back. ''It's going to be okay.'' I tell him.
''I really hope so, Olive.'' I sighed then asked him. ''Otto, what were you parents fighting about and how did it start?'' I asked him.
''My dad's been out of work for over a year now. He's been doing odd jobs just to make ends. My mom and him being arguing on and off for the last few months. They had another argument that night. It was really bad. I figure he was going to leave anyway.'' He finished. Silence. ''I know it's going to be fine. Then she started hitting my siblings, when I wasn't there. I just got tired of it. I packed our stuff, crashed at Oscar's place. We've been there ever since.''
''Olive, thanks for being a good friend. I really appreciate it.'' He tells me. ''You are welcome, Otto, I know you would do the same for me, if the tables were turned.''
''Did you need anything?'' He asked me. ''You are in the men's locker room. What do you need?'' He asked me. ''I have to tell you something first.'' I tell him.
I tell him about what happened to my parents.
A ''Yes, I would love to help you, Liv.'' I sighed in relieve. ''I have enough bedrooms for your siblings too.''
''Thanks again, Liv.''
''Tomorrow, we can go get the rest of your stuff from your mom's house''
''I'll bring Oscar with me. I don't want her to hurt you.''
''Fare enough''
''Can I meet your sister, Liv?''
''Why? Yeah, you can though.''
''I'm sure she is a mini version of you, right?''
''You can say that''
We walked out of the locker room; Otto has his uniform on. We walk towards my desk.
''Hey Dawnie.'' I greeted the six-year-old, kissing her on her forehead.
''Hey Livie''
''Hi, I'm Otto''
''Hey Otto''
I gave Dawn some peanut butter crackers, milk and apple slices from my mini fridge.
''Olive says you are the best partner in the whole wide world.''
I mentally facepalm myself, she's been listening in on Octavia and I's phone calls.
''I think she's the best partner in the whole, wide, world too. I definitely would not want another partner.'' He replies to her, winking at me. I looked away. he chuckled.
''Okay, let's go Otto.'' I say to him. ''Don't go anywhere Dawn" I say to her. I walk away with Otto following me. ''She's cute'' he says slightly laughing. ''Yeah, she's so cute.'' I say sarcastically.
I asked Octavia, Oscar, Otis, and Oona if they could keep an eye out for Dawn since Otto and I have a few cases to solve today. She told me yes.
We went and solved some cases, talked, ate some food.
