this is pretty short but it's cute so
it was 12 am and tyler was laying on his bed crying silently. he did his best to be as quite as possible, he didnt want josh to hear. josh was in the living room finishing up a documentary and he should be here soon. stupid tyler. crying at this time.

truth is, he was crying because he's worried. worried of being this way. he was emotional; and sometimes he felt like a burden to josh. of course he knew josh didn't mind most of the time but of course he had to overthink it.

they both looked out for each other, as any couple would do. tyler comforted josh when he had his anxiety or when he cried and vice versa. but recently it's all been tyler. he couldn't help but feel selfish.

he gently wiped his tears away as he heard footsteps getting closer. "hey, baby" josh whispered. tyler smiled. he loved that nickname, it didn't sound douchy or sexual when it came from him, it sounded sweet and full of care.

he felt a weight on the other side of the bed so he turned around to be greeted with joshs face. the older boy was shirtless with a pair of boxers on, like tyler, his pink hair ruffled and messy. even in the dark you could see the two boys blushing.

josh noticed tylers cheek glistening the dark a little. "tyler, love, have you been crying?" he asked furrowing his eyebrows.

"yeah.." tyler replied, sighing. he wasn't some high schooler, he wouldn't hide it. honesty is an inportant part of their relationship.

"why, baby?" josh whispered. he rubbed circles on tylers bare back and tyler closes his eyes, admiring the feeling while getting shivers.

"i don't know, josh, sometimes i feel like im tiring you out. recently you've been staying up to calm me down and take care of me and i cant help but feel im a little bit of a burden to you."

"no, no, tyler, don't think that; please. i love looking out for you. and you do the same a lot too, so it's pretty fair"
"yes, but i don't know..."
josh put his hand on tylers damp cheek. tyler didn't cry much, he usually just freaked out sometimes.
"look, baby, if it was bothering me do you think i would still be here? if it was some other douche bag he would've walked out, right? but it's alright with me, tyler, ok? you take care of me, and i take care of you, it's just how we are, and what most couples do." he said softly. the younger boy nodded and snuggled up into josh.

josh played with tylers hair, as he knew it helped him fall asleep.
"hey josh?"
"yes, baby?"
tyler leaned in and kissed josh gently. they moved a little, and it was slow, short, and sweet. they laid on their pillow again.

"do you have anything that's bothering you right now, love?" tyler asked sleepily.
"honestly, ive never been better" josh said truthfully.

he continued rubbing circles on tylers back and tyler was playing with joshs hair. he was snuggled up in his chest, and josh held him like he was the most valuable treasure in the world. which he was, to him.

"hey tyler, we have a show tomorrow"
"mmm.."
"im hanging out with a bunch of friends from mutemath after it, do you mind?"
"no, not at all, josh. you don't need to ask." tyler replied with a small smile on his face. he loved how josh asked him this everytime even though he knew tyler wouldn't stop him for hanging out with friends.

"i love you."
"i love you too."
