Chapter 5

AUGUST ALSINA POV.

I was chilling at Fetty's house playing on the ps4 with him. School was cancelled today so we didn't have to go.
August-"How did hanging out with that girl go."
Fetty-"you mean London"
August-"yeah"
Fetty-"it was cool, she is a really cool person. My mom adores her."
August-"That's cool."
Fetty-"Shit"he said as I won the basketball game.
August-"you either got it or you dont."I said while sticking my hand out. He rolled his eyes as he took the money out of his pocket.
Fetty-"Do I have to"
August-"a bet is a bet. "
Fetty sighed and handed me the 20 dollar bill.
August-"nice working with you."
Fetty-"whatever, I want a rematch. "
August-"alright, but be prepared to pay up another 20 dollar bill."
Fetty-"yea we'll see."
Just when we was about to start playing again, my phone rung. I looked to see who it was, it was Alese. I sighed and just let it ring."
Fetty-"who is that."
August-"oh just Alese."
Fetty-"who" he said playing dumb.
August-"you know Alese, my girlfriend, remember."I said as we started playing the game again.
Fetty-"oh you mean gold digger."
I sighed in annoyance.
August-"please don't start ok, I got enough of that from Chris and Trey the other day. "
Fetty-"it's true, she is one."
I paused the game and turned to face him.
August-"ok why do you think that. "
Fetty-"Easy, everytime you talk to her, she always want something. She always ask you to buy stuff for her and I don't know why you would be stupid enough to do it."
August-"it's because I love her."
Fetty-"but she dont love you."
August-"yes she do."
Fetty-"oh really."
August-"yea"
Fetty-"ok so yall been together since the 10th grade, I never heard her once say that she loved you."
August-"just because you never heard her doesnt mean that she dont."
My phone rang again, and I turned around to see that it was Alese calling me again.
Fetty-"ok well lets make a deal."
August -"what you mean. "
Fetty-"When you tell her that you love her and she doesn't say it back , kick her gold digging ass to the curve. "
August-"and if she does. "
Fetty-"you won't have to hear my mouth about her ever again. "
August-"deal. " I said as I picked up the phone and answered it.
August-"hey babe."
Fetty-"put it on speaker." He whispered.
I rolled my eyes and put her on speaker.
Alese-"its about damn time you answered your phone."she said yelling at me.
August-"sorry babe, I was just busy."
Alese-"what is more important than me. "
I rolled my eyes.
August-"what is it that you want Alese. "
Alese-"I wanted you to come over. "
August-"for what. "
Alese-"cuz I want you to. Unless you have better things to do, which I hardly doubt you do. "
I just sucked my teeth and sighed.
August-"I be there soon. "
Alese-"good. "
August-"love you. "
Alese-"yea, bye. "
She hunged up and Fetty just snickered.
Fetty-"you mean to tell me that your in love with that. " he said laughing.
August-"shut up. "
Fetty-"so I guess I was right and you was wrong. How you planning on dumping her sorry ass. "
August-"I'm not dumping her, she just slipped up that's all. "
Fetty-"well, she been slipping for about two in a half years now. "
August-"whatever, I don't care what you say, she loves me."
Fetty-"then why didnt she say it."
August-"I told you, she just slipped."
Fetty just shook his head.
Fetty-"denial is not gonna make it better."
August-"Nigga whatever I'm not in denial."
Fetty-"yea sure your not."
August-"whatever, I got to go. I talk to you later."
We dabbed fists and I left.

I pulled up at her house and went to go knock on the door. She opened it with this guy I never met before, behind her. But he does look familiar though.
Guy-"I catch you later Alese. "He said walking out the door.
Alese-"alright. "
I went inside and closed the door. August-"Who was that."
Alese-"oh, no one special. "
August-"oh ok" I said eventhough a part of me was a little suspicious .
August-"so why did you call me over."
Alese-"I wanted to talk to you."
August-"well that's good because I wanted to talk to you too."
Alese-"about what?"
August-"you first."
Alese-"well I just wanted to talk to you to ask if I can borrow some money, you know my mom is having problems with the bills this month."
August-"you could've just told me over the phone you know."
Alese-"well I didn't so. "
I just shook my head.
Alese-"so is that a yes to the money or no. "
I sighed.
August-"I will give you the money Alese. "
Alese-"you think it is possible to give it to me before the week is over with."
August-"I'll try. "
Alese-"great. "She said walking towards the den. I followed behind her and sat on the couch along with her.
August-"I need to ask you a question. "
Alese-"what is it" she said flipping through the channels.
August-"do you love me?"I said in a serious tone.
Alese-"what"she looked at me as if i was crazy.
August-"I said do you love me?"
She just looked at me.
Alese-"oh shit, I forgot about the popcorn in the microwave."
August-"what popcorn."
Alese-"I put some popcorn in before you got here."she said walking to the kitchen. I followed right behind her.
She grabbed the popcorn from the microwave and started pouring some into a bowl.
August-"are you gonna answer my question. "
Alese-"huh, what question. " she said playing dumb.
August-"the question were I asked you if you love me."
Alese-"do you want some popcorn, I can pour you a bowl." She said turning to go to the cabinet.
August-"forget about the popcorn. Just answer my question, ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH ME OR NOT! "I said raising my tone and getting irritated.
She sighed and turned to look at me.
Alese-"yes, I love you August ok. Damn is that what you wanted to hear. "
August-"well if you love me why you never say it."
Alese-"I didn't think I was obligated."she said shrugging her shoulders.
August-"no, but it would be nice to hear it every once in a while. "
Alese-"why you just now making a big deal of it. You haven't this long, so why now. "
August-"your right, I should've been questioning this sooner. Maybe Fetty was right about you. "I said whispering that last sentence.
I obviously didn't say that low enough because she heard.
Alese-"wait Fetty as in Willie." She scoffed."and what was Willie right about exactly."
August-"that you dont love me, that's what."
Alese-"well since you think that I don't love you so much. How about you get the hell out of my house. "
August -"fine, I don't got time for this shit. "I said walking towards the door.
Alese-"good, cuz I don't need you."she said following behind me.
August-"whatever ."I said walking out the door.
Alese-"oh, and FYI we're through."she said then slammed the door in my face.
I sighed and walked to get in my car and drove off.
