~No One's Pov~
A few days after the girls arrive, they receive their very own clothes! Some of the people who know how to sew sewed seven dresses for each girl. Weeks after that, the Scouts had to go to town so one of the soldiers stayed behind to watch them. Levi felt that they shouldn't just wear dresses, so he bought them seven pairs of shirts and pants, then bought some shoes.
Every time the girls grew out of their clothes, more dresses were made and Levi or Erwin would go out and buy them more casual clothes.
Two years have passed since Y/N and Zanese have arrived, and they've changed so much. Most days the girls watch the scouts practice or just play with everyone when they're done. A lot of times they ran laps with them, or 'warm up'. Warm-ups consist of running, push-ups, squats, and crunches. The girls wear their casual outfits for these days and do a little less than half of what everyone else does. Today is different though. No warm-ups, no playing, no watching. The girls have a crazy proposition for Levi. The sisters quickly make their way to his door, knocking before a voice rings out.
"State your name and business."
"Y/N and Zane, we've come to talk to you poppa!" Y/N calls out. She's excited and can't stand still.
They hear some papers rustle then a soft reply, "Alright, come in."
The girls open the door and run to their father. He quickly picks them up and puts them on his lap. He's frankly grown very fond of them, they're the only ones he's actually nice to, though he would never admit it.
"What did you two want to talk about?"
The girls look at each other and nod, "We want to join the Scouts!"
Levi's eyes grow wide in surprise. He's never pegged his two kids to be ones to follow in his footsteps. They look very determined, and he knows they will never back down. They'd join whether he likes it or not. He sighs, but nods against his gut feeling.
"Alright, on one condition," the strict man says, "You'll start real training tomorrow."
The girls squeal, they finally get to learn all the stuff that their 'friends' know. They hug the stiff man and he wraps his arms around them in return. This is going to be a rough few years.
~Time Skip: 5 years~
The girls are now the lovely age of ten. They've been training with their father for five years and are just as good as every adult scout. During the five years, they learned hand-to-hand combat. After their training, an hour of titan learning from Hanji, Erwin, or Levi was always held.
Today was the girls' found day, so training is canceled. Every year the Scouts save up money to buy the girls one present each. For their first found day, the girls received stuffed animals. Y/N got a large bunny with f/c fur and a 2f/c ribbon. She named it (stuffed animal name). Zane had gotten a larger than average bear with white fur and a red and white ribbon. She named it Kuma. Their seventh found day, the girls received daggers with handles that matched their necklaces (the ones in the first chapter).
Erwin, Hanji, and squad Levi decide they would decorate this year. Everybody else plays and talks with the girls until their party is finished. Once it was dinner time, the girls went to the mess hall. They found decorations with their favorite colors. F/c and 2f/c for Y/N, then light blue and pink for Zane.
The girls squeal in delight. The party swiftly gets into full swing as everybody starts to laugh and talk. The girls go around and hug everybody, telling them thank you and carry on small conversations.
An hour passes and it's time for the girls to open their presents. Hanji and Erwin walk in with something large behind their backs. Everyone starts to get quiet once they notice the two in the room. The girls turn and a bright smile grows on their faces.
"Okay, we decided to give these to you guys, even though you're not supposed to have them for another few years. We want you to practice with these before you leave, okay?!" Hanji explains excitedly. She was clearly more excited than anyone in the room.
The girls' smiles falter in confusion. What on earth could this be? Hanji and Erwin remove their gifts from behind them. It's two sets of 3DM gear! The girls start screaming and jumping around. Y/N's the first to say thank you to Hanji and Erwin.
"Thank you, aunty four eyes and uncle eyebrows!!!" Y/N exclaims hugging them. The other scouts are on the verge of laughing, but hold it in. Zanesa hugs them after calling them by their real names.
After opening their presents, the girls go to sleep. They still sleep in their father's room, but they have a bunk bed of their own. They're very happy to actually be able to practice with the 3DMG's the following day.
~Time Skip: Next Day~
The girls quickly adjust to the 3DMG's. They even come up with their own moves together, like the Flying Zig-Zag. They always partner together when they're practicing on titan dummies. Some scouts call them the T.A. Team meaning the Twin Ackerman Team. When they practice with their dad, they're simply called the Ackerman Family.
Just three more years and the girls would be joining the 104th training corps.
