Chester's pov.

"Hey, you should really start heading home", someone said, waking me up. I opened my eyes and saw a kid around me age. He looked like one of the kids from school, I don't remember.
"It's getting late. You should really be getting home," he said. I didn't really have a home. My mom is usually gone so I'm by myself most of the time.
"Yah, I guess I'll start walking there", I said.
"I could walk you there since its pretty dark out," he offered.
"Nah, I'll be fine. Plus you need to be heading home to."
"Ok that's cool. I'm Mike bye the way," mike introduced himself.
"I'm chester. I think I've seen you around school. I'm not quite sure though. I'm still farely new."
"Yah, how you liking the new school", he asked.
"Simular to the last one", I responded.
  "How so?"
"I didn't have any friends at the last school I was at. I haven't made a friend here. And plus the constant bullying is the same at both schools."
"Well you can consider me a friend. Heck, maybe tomorrow I can introduce you to the rest of my friends. Don't worry, I don't have that big of circle."
"That would be nice, thank you", I said. Me and Mike continued to talk for a few more minutes. We had a lot in common. He seemed like a guy that I could get along with. I mean, for one, he hasn't bullied me yet.
We both started to head home, going our seperate ways. I'm really happy to make a friend that I could talk to. I'm usually ignored or picked on by most people.
I continued to walk home. It was dark out, but I found the dark peaceful. Most people are scared to walk in the dark alone. I wasnt. I like walking in the dark. It was more quiter and peaceful. I dont care of someone kidnaps me or not. I dont have anything to live for.
When I got home, I went strait to my room. I was really tired. I usually am tired. There are many days were I have a hard time falling to sleep. I usually stared up at my ceiling, getting lost in my thoughts.
I collapsed on my bed, not even bothering to change out of the clothes Ive worn all day. I looked my alarm clock that was on my night stand. It read 9:34. I rarely got to sleep before midnight. I pulled the covers up to my chin and tried to get some sleep.

Mike's pov.

I finally talked to the new kid. We talked for a good 20 minutes. I even offered to walk him home, with him being new here and it was getting late. He told me about how he was always bullied and how he didn't have any friends. I suggested that we could be friends and I could introduce him to the rest of my friends. I also suggested that he sit with us during lunch tomorrow. He agreed to both suggestions and we talked more. During the talk, I found out that his name was Chester. We did have a lot in common.
After getting to know each other, we both went our seperate ways. It was nice talking to someone else for a change. The friends I do have now are the same friends I had in elementry school. I never tried to make any new friends. I have always talked to the same people over and over again. I've always found it hard to make new friends. Although, with Chester it seemed I was a pro at making friends.
I got home at around 9. My mom lectured me for getting home so late. She didn't like it when I got home after dark. She was always very protective with me. At least she lets me be in a band and go out with my friends.
