Secret Promises

Chapter seven:

The next morning

*Travis sits on his front porch bench looking over at Katelyn's house, fantasizing about his day with her yesterday, still pinching himself, making sure he wasn't dreaming all of this*

*Dante comes outside, locking the door behind him*

Dante:Hey Travis!

*Travis sighs*

Dante: What's wrong buddy?

Travis: Oh nothing, just some girl troubles

*Dante punches Travis in the shoulder*

Dante: Haha, I know how that feels. Well I got to go, ...I'm going out to eat with Nicole,so I guess I'll see you later

Travis: Alright Dante, heh. Have fun!

Dante: Thanks man

*Dante walks down the short stair case leading off the porch and begins to head towards his car before he steps in and takes off zooming down the road*

*Travis stands up and tidies himself up, ready to make the walk towards Katelyn's house*

*He approaches slowly, and swiftly rings the door bell*

Ding Dong

*Katelyn opens the door to see Travis's nervous face, she feels awkward, but just goes with it*

Katelyn: Hey Travis...

Travis: Hey...

Katelyn: What are you doing here?

Travis: ...I honestly don't know...

*Katelyn starts to laugh*

Katelyn: What is that supposed to mean?

Travis: You're like my medicine, I've got to have my daily dose of time around you everyday

Katelyn: You really think about me like that?

Travis: of course I do, I think about you all day everyday!

Katelyn: -blushes- Travis...

Travis: So I was thinking...I-I know our first date didn't go so well...but I promise this time it will be better, W-Will you go on another date with me?

Katelyn: Travis, you know how I am when I'm on a date...

Travis: Well...what if it wasn't a date

Katelyn: TRAVIS...YOU JUST SAID THAT IT WAS A DATE.

Travis: Well what if we go out to get to know each other more, and we don't have to dress up nice or anything, we could just go as we are and hangout.

Katelyn: Well...that doesn't sound too bad

Travis: We can walk around the park and chat....if you want

Katelyn: Fine Travis, *She crosses her arms* I'm going to give you another chance, BUT IF YOU DO ANYTHING STUPID.

Travis: I WON'T, I PROMISE!!!

Katelyn: You better not, or this will be the last time I agree to do this....But anyways...What time do you want to go?

Travis: D-Do you wanna go out for lunch?

Katelyn: ...Sure

Travis: Okay, I guess I'll go and get everything set up

Katelyn: WHAT? YOU SAID THIS WASN'T GOING TO BE A CRAZY THING?

Travis: Katelyn, Katelyn, you know how I am with planning things out, it all has to be perfect!!!

Kaitlyn: UGH,...Fine.

*Travis laughs and winks at Katelyn as he walks back towards his house, excitement shooting fireworks through his body*

Travis: See you soon Babe, he shouts as he walks across the street

Katelyn: TRAVIS YOUR PUSHING IT!
