Secret Promises

Chapter nine:

*Travis slowly looks up at Lucinda who is sitting with confusion in her face*

Travis: E-Excuse me Lucinda, I-I gotta go

*Travis stands up, his body feeling faint, his mind crowded with fear and sadness*

Lucinda: Travis. Don't tell me you actually like her?

*Travis packs up his stuff and begins to walk away, leaving Lucinda hanging under the tree alone in the Smokey rose atmosphere made from the blowing out of the candles, and the stained white blanket from which she remains planted on*

*Lucinda shouts from a distance*

Lucinda: Travis?...Don't you want to hang out with me?

*Travis keeps walking, trailing farther and farther away*

Lucinda: TRAVIS?!?!?

*Lucinda runs up to Travis from behind, placing a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to turn him around to face her, but instead she causes his weak body to collapse and fall onto his knees*

Travis: T-That was my last chance

Lucinda: What?, Travis, what are you talking about?

*He starts to tear up*

Travis: She'll never love me now

*Lucinda grabs both of his hands and pulls him up to a stand, his head still staring at the ground*

Lucinda: Travis...I'm sorry...I just wanted to make Katelyn jealous with that love spell, I didn't know you had actual feelings for her...I'm sorry

*Lucinda pulls him into a hug, Travis cries into her shoulder*

Travis: She will never talk to me again...she probably hates me

Lucinda: Travis...I-I'm So Sor-

*Travis places his hand over her mouth, he looks up to where their eyes meet, his eyes full of water, hers full of worry and regret towards her actions*

Travis: It's not your fault. It's my fault, my actions caused her to leave.

*He takes his hand away from her mouth*

Lucinda: Travis...

Travis: I'm going to try to go talk to her...

Lucinda: O-Okay...I guess I'll see you later then...

*He leaves her embrace and begins to walk out of the park, once again leaving Lucinda behind him*

At Katelyn's house

Knock knock knock

Travis: K-Katelyn?!

Knock knock

Travis: Katelyn please open the door!

*Travis knocks on the door many more times...but she still doesn't answer*

*Aphmau and Kawaii~Chan weren't home either for the time being, they've been very busy with work lately, he hasn't seen them around in a while*

Travis: -sigh-

*Travis looks up to see Katelyn's window open, he looks around and notices ridges on the siding of the house that lead up the roof to the peak of her window. He begins the climb slipping twice before making it to the roof*

Travis: Katelyn?

*He peers his head through her window frame, not seeing her anywhere in sight. Soon he hears quiet crying coming from inside her closet. He quickly leaps through the window and approaches the closet*

Travis: Katelyn?...

*The crying stops*

*Travis knocks before opening the door*

*He sees Katelyn with her head between her knees, sitting in the corner. He plants himself 2 feet away from her, now sitting up against the wall, neither of them looking at one another*

Katelyn: G-Go away Travis

Travis: Katelyn...

Travis: I know you probably don't want to see me...or even talk to me right now, or ever again, but before I go. I just wanted to apologize...I know I've been doing that alot lately...and it would totally make sense for you to not forgive me...but Listen. I only have eyes for you Katelyn. And I'm not just saying that to get you to like me. I'm saying that because I mean it...There is nothing going on between me and Lucinda...or any other girl for that matter. It's just when Lucinda kissed me she put a spell on me that made me forget I was crazy about you and it made me feel like I liked Lucinda, but when I woke up... you were gone. And I remembered everything that had happened. And-

*Travis starts to cry*

Travis: A-And Katelyn...I'm so sorry. You don't deserve this, you don't deserve someone like me, you deserve everything in life and a guy who's going to be that for you and not hurt you every chance he gets. I-I am so sorry Katelyn

*Katelyn puts her hand out and wipes away Travis's tears, Travis looks at her. Her face is sad, but carrying a smile. He eyes are red and puffy, but she's still beautiful, she's always beautiful *

*She pulls him in a warm embrace*

Katelyn: I-I belive you

Travis: T-Thank you Katelyn

*Katelyn releases Travis, now placing her head on his shoulder*

Travis: Katelyn...I don't deserve this, I don't deserve y-

*She pulls his head around and out of the dark clouds fogging his thoughts, she looks into his sorry eyes while stroking the side of his cheek. Leaving in She kisses him lightly on the lips and then releasing*

Katelyn: I think I love you...and that's what hurts the most right now

Travis: W-What? Y-You do? But I've been nothing but horrible to you, how can you love me???

*Katelyn laughs at his confusion*

Travis: Why are you laughing? Ugh it's so cute!!!

Katelyn: I'm laughing because you're adorable....But anyways...(She clears her throat) You haven't really done anything horrible...I just haven't been very open minded towards you lately, and Im sorry for treating you like you're always doing something wrong...

Travis: Katelyn...

Katelyn: Listen Travis...Please don't tell anyone about any of this, okay?....

*Her voice gains confidence*

Katelyn: If you do then you are dead! Got it?!

*Travis laughs*

Travis: I won't, you can trust me

*Katelyn leans into Travis*

Katelyn: Can I trust you with this?...

*She rolls Travis into the corner of her closet and kisses him hard over and over again on the lips, neither of them able to breathe until Katelyn pulls away*

Travis: Heh..heh...

*He raises a blush and passes out onto the floor*

Katelyn: Now that is how it is done Lucinda (She smirks)
