Emily
---------------------------------------------------------I sigh as I look at the situation I'm in. I'm stuck in a football stadium forced to watch my sister do cheerleadering for the home team. Mind you I hate both cheerleaders and football their both stupid substitutes for entertainment.
I walk around the crowded area filled with the smell of alcohol and stupid drunks.
I'm currently swimming my way through the crowd to meet my bestie Lizzy.
Suddenly I'm shoved hard in the shoulder and I fall onto my backside, "Ouch! Look where you're going! I cast my gaze upwards to see a very tall guy standing over me. Oh great. "Here I'll give you a hand up" he says smiling.
"No!" I screech slapping away his hand and getting up to walk away. "Hey I'm sorry" he says his voice toned with hurt as if what I said had stung him. "I hate guys, go away" I hiss violently looking back but he already disappeared into the crowd. "Idiot!" I curse under my breath.
"Hey, Emily" yells out a girl running over to me.
"Hey Liz!"We jump into each others arms hugging and laughing like usual.
"What took you so long?" Lizzy asks her eyes peeked with curiosity."I got knocked over in 'that'" I say pointing to the swamp of people crowed behind the stands.
"Ouch must of hurt" Liz winces. "Worst of all it was a guy" I roll my eyes. "That must of made your night worse, first your stuck watching the two things you hate for 3hrs then your knocked over in a crowd of drunks by the one thing you hate the most" laughs Lizzy. "It's not funny" I reply seriously. "Oh no, it's the end of the world" jokes Lizzy. "Whatever!""Oh that reminds me I heard some new rumors from school" Lizzy says her eyes lighting up. "Hmm ok." Uninterested as usual I lean onto my and and pretend to listen. I'm used to hearing her gossip silly little things all the time. I kind of just ignore it and play along later. Liz's eyes were still lit up as she's going into full blown gossip mode, "So I heard Jack..." And that's when I stopped paying attention, yep straight away. As soon as I stop listening I'm sucked into the world of my thoughts.
There's still 1hr and a half till the game ends then getting through the crowd back to mum, what if I get knocked over again? What if it was from a guy again? Yuck, that would suck, hell why did I even come here? Oh yeah I was made to come so I could watch my eleven year old sister, dance around in a mini skirt and skimmy top, shaking her poms and chanting away to music.
What a joke who even came up with cheerleadering, was it just to satisfy the eyes of a guy as they never let professionally cheerlead unless you a cutesy, fit-bodied, 20 year old willing to wear a mini skirt that's shows off your ass. See I'm right it's messed up.
I don't even know what to think anymore. You know what this whole world and it's population polluters are messed up."And I swear I saw him the over day" she says finishing her sentence to look over at me. "Really, that's cool" I sigh looking the other direction trying to make out what the sign on the other side of the stadium said. "Your not even paying attention" snorts Lizzy annoyed. "No I am" I reply taking defense and looking back at Lizzy. "Yeah, paying attention to what huh?" shes huffs tilting her head and crossing her arms.
"The sign on the other side of the stadium" I giggle looking back in the direction of the sign. "Arg, see you weren't paying attention to m..." she says stopping part way through. "What Liz" I say confused. "Shit, there's only five minutes till end - game, sorry gotta go Em, if I don't go back now I'll get stuck in the crowd, you should go back to" she says waving goodbye as she disappears into the sea of people around the stadium. "We'll off I go" I huff sticking my hands into my pocket and walking off.
I walk through the crowd keeping an eye out for anything that could cause trouble. So far each time I took a step everything seemed right, a usual day doing what I was told, something I hated. I made it to the stands full of over exerted screams as the siren rang throughout the stadium signaling the end of the game, the end of the night for me though.
"You're back sweetie" said Mum leaning over giving me a hug and a sweet smile. "How wa.." I said cut off.
"Sis, you're back" yelped my sister as if I'd been gone for months. "Yes, yes I am" I sighed. "Hey, mum can I have some money to get some candy from the stalls before they close" asked my sister in her best please voice. "Sure" sighed Mum handing her a five dollar note. My sister (Molly) ran off squealing through the crowd towards the candy stands. I sighed. "So, how was the game" I mumbled through eating chips I found in the bag of food Mum always brings to the games. "Arg, our team did terrible, we were practically anialated it was 32 - 2, I'm so annoyed their defense was atrocious and I swear they had their butter fingers on this game" said Mum annoyed at the results of the game. "Really, that's to bad" I said crunching on a chip as we walked down to the car. "Wheres Molly" I said looking around. "She just texted me and said she's already made it to the car" said Mum looking down at her phone. "Ok" I replied."Mum, can you unlock the car" yelled out Molly. "Sure, sweetie" Mum yelled back unlocking the car. Mum pressed the button on the car remote and Molly jumped in. "I'm so tired" I said under my breath, hoping into the car and putting my seat belt on.
I winded down my window to feel the cool air splatter my flushed face. I closed my eyes, head out the window, cool air in my face and silent car trip home. Molly asleep the little puffs of air escaping her sleeping face and Mum cruzing along the road focused and silent.
