Chapter 10

~ 4:00 p.m. ~

I couldn't wait another minute. Ever since the door slammed on my face and I flew back into the wall then I made the risky move to open it again, I have to do something. I can't wait for my Tracy to come home I had to find out now. I want to know who that child was and why it was here. And also maybe why the mother of the twins and spouse of the crazy psycho dad, was there holding the baby.

Where could I ever start with this? I could go around houses in the neighborhood, asking if anyone could tell me anything on what happened. But I think I'll do some less obvious searching... starting with the library.

My aunt soon arrived back later a couple hours after I started making plans on what i'm going to do.

"Can I get a lift into town to the library?" I asked politely.

"Sure thing hun, just let me go freshen up in the bathroom and let me get something to eat quick," right after replying to my question she ran hurriedly to the bathroom. After about two to three minutes she came out. I watched her as she made herself a turkey and cheddar cheese sandwich. "So what did you need at the library? Are you looking into researching something?" The fact is that was exactly right.

"Oh yeah, I heard about this good book and I wanted to go check it out." I lied slyly.

"Oh okay, whats the book called?" she asked with a curious tone towards the subject, I knew she didn't suspect anything. She's just always been deep into books and reading. She reads a book whenever she can on her free time. She's not much for tv or technology, but when my parents died and I was coming to live with her she brought me shopping for electronics and helped me pick out some things. We got a fifty-two inch HD plasma screen tv, I got a brand new Iphone 5s. However I didn't agree with getting me such a phone, but she insisted. We also got a fancy computer and land line phones, and all that good stuff. Yes she does spoil me, no I can't stop her from doing so.

"The book, its a new one called The Fault In Our Stars." I answered quickly but trying to sound eager to get going.

"Oh! I heard about that one too! Its supposed to be a good one," she smiled over at me as she placed her dish in the dishwasher, "well, we should probably get going then!"

~ 4:30 p.m. Arriving at the Library ~

She pulled up to a gigantic building that looked like a big church. There was a huge sign in the front placed in the grass upon a little mound of dirt. The sign read "Lake Geneva Public Library". Yup this is the place. I'm just hoping that its not too crowded. As I walked up the nicely well chosen beautiful path laid down of different colored stone up to the door - I thought about how I was going to research this.

"Call me when you're ready to come back!" my aunt called up to me.

"Okay!" I shouted back, " I will!"

As soon as I walked in the double door I was breath taken by all the rows and rows of books. Floor to ceiling there was shelves or new and old books, big and small, picture and word books. There was even a spiral staircase up to a wooden flooring that went 360° around the circular library ceiling surrounded with bookshelves full of books. There was a couple corners in the room with oak table and chair sets. There was about thirty people all around. Not as crowded as it would be if this was a small library like back in my old town.

"Hi, is there any specific book or topic you're looking for today madam." The lady up ahead of me sitting at a desk asked me politely.

"Oh um I'd like to see if I could find anything on the history of Wells Street?" I stuttered.

"Alright, that would be on the second level by the W's," she pointed in the direction and location of where I could find it.

"Thank you," I walked over to the stairs and made my way up and over to the W's. I spotted the street records for the last fifty years. Skimming through the book I research for the homicide of the family. There! ~"Possesed Father Kills Own Family and Disappears"~ Possesed? I had no idea. Why hadn't my aunt told me this? It looks like this family had bad luck choosing the perfect house. I searched through some other history books on the house and street and got ready to check out when my phone vibrated. I put the books gently on the ground and answered.

"Hey I'm just checking up on you," it was my Aunt Tracy, "are you ready to go or not yet?'

"Oh yeah I just have to check out, but you can start driving here, I'll meet you outside." How was I going to hide the books from her. Oh yeah, I could put them in my bag.

"Okay hun, see you soon."

"Yup," I put the phone away and grabbed my books. I started heading over to the staircase when I bumped into a guy. I dropped a book.

"Oh I'm so sorry!" we looked up at each other, he was cute, I couldn't believe how cute he was.

"Oh, no thats okay," I blushed, I didn't want to say goodbye but I had to get going quickly," I gotta go but it was nice bumping into you."

"Yeah haha hopefully I'll bump into you again," He smiled at me. I blushed even more, "its nice bumping into cute strangers like you." Did he really just say that? Oh how badly I was blushing.

"You too!" I called back as I made my way down the stairs. I brought my books to the checkout desk.

"Would you like to sign up for an account?" The lady asked me.

"Sure," I answered dazed about everything that just happened. After signing up and checking out I put the books in my bag and ran outside to see my aunt's car awaiting in the front parking row of lots. I climbed into the car.

"So how'd it go?" My aunt started up the car and backed up out of the parking spot.

Without even thinking, I replied, "amazing."
