I need a motivation.
I am sitting in my comfy bed. My phone alarm woke me up 3 minutes ago. Problem? I need a motivation. For what , you may ask. For leaving my soft matress, of course. I slowly got up and sat by the edge of the bed. I stretched my arms and yawned. How come i am still tired? Only god knows.
I am going with the pace of a turtle to the bathroom. I make my daily routine and then walk to my closet. I get some random jeans and a random purple shirt. I change from my pajamas and i exit my room not bothering looking in the mirror.
I put my hair into a ponytail. Curse my lazy way to be in the morning. I grab my pink schoolbag and go down the stairs with my eyes half closed. How did i succeed to do that without tripping is a mistery.
I enter the kitchen and i am met with a wonderful smell of pancakes. That was the moment my eyes shot open. My mom was already eating and my dad was getting ready for work. My mom would eventually leave too soon after my dad.
When my mom saw me she got up and placed a huge stack of pancakes in front of me. Last time i picked the plate up i, somehow, broke it. I swear i am not clumsy.
I grinned and stuffed them into my mouth, but not without saying a big 'thank you'.
''Eat quickly honey, i don't want you to be late for school. Your dad and i would give you a lift but there is an emergency at work. ''
I nodded my head in understanding. You see, my parents work at police. It's actually pretty cool. Except maybe the fact that my dad has a gun in his drawer. That's scary.
''It's okay mom, i love you. ''
''I love you too sweetheart. ''
She, followed by my dad, bent down to kiss my forehead. They rushed to the door and i heard a 'call us if you need help'. Little did they know i broke my phone ten days ago. In my defence i bumbed into a stranger and the phone fell down to the merciless ground.
I finished my breakfast and went to the door where i put on my sneakers.
I start my little walk to school. It was pretty close to my house so my parents shouldn't bother giving me a ride.
After 10 minutes i arrived. The high school was already full of students. They were chatting and laughing loudly. I searched for my little group of friends. I spotted a tall blonde haired girl with a black schoolbag and recognize her as my best friend Brianna. I quickly made my way to her and hug her from behind. It looked pretty strange since she was 5'9 and i only 5'4.
She jumped and turned around. She was ready to punch me but after she saw me she returned the hug. Yep, just a normal day.
''Oh Lydia, i thought it was some obsessed guy.'' Bri asked.
''That short?''
And we begin to laugh. We made our way to our lockers and grabbed our books for our first class. She had biology and i had history. The bell rang and we quickly went to class. History was...interesting but our teacher, Mr. Clinton, was unbelivable boring. That's mean of me to say. His voice was simply monotone.
After the class finished and another 2 hours of classes passed i was in the cafeteria looking for the table where my friends were sitting. In the back sat my 3 friends.
I went to them and sat down.
''Hello guys!'' I chirped.
''Hey Lyd'' said Bri.
Blake was happily munching on a burger. If looks could speak his were saying : 'i am gonna marry this burger'. He was the food lover guy. I kind of understand him. And there was Carson. The quiet one. He speaks, don't worry. He just usually have this blank stare. Brianna was the girl with attitude. Very rebel if you ask me.
"Hey idiots, Lydia just said hello, are you guys going to ignore her?'' Okay, the way she adressed them was mean. But that got their attention.
''Hhh Led'' said Blake almost chocking. Poor Blake.
''Yeah, hi''. Even if Carson was a little shady, he was trust-worthy.
I stared at the math book i bringed with me. The next class was math and i needed to repeat some stuff. Do you know what else i needed? That motivation. I counted to 3 to open the book. I opened it slowly like it was some sort of bomb hidden there. My friends were watching me with amusment.
Great, now i need the motivation to read it. I didn't have any.
Come on Lydia, don't be silly, it is not that hard to bring yourself to do something you don't like.
Right.
I took a deep breath and began studying. That thing was so hard i barely understood something. This senior year is gonna be so long.
Soon the bell rang and i got up from my seat and then walk towards the exit. My next class was at the other end of the school. That's so far away. Oxay maybe i exaggerate. So much walking!
Maybe you should worry about math. You didn't have enough time to study last night. You really needed to see that episode of SpongeBob, didn't you? Now pay the con-
Buff!
I bumbed into something. Or maybe someone.
I raised my head and saw a crowd of people around something i couldn't see, right in the middle of the hallway. The curiousity got the best of me. Like always. It was pointless getting on my toes.
"Excuse me"
The person in front of me groaned and stepped aside. I walked forward and see something i never saw in real life.
A fight.
Sure, i saw fights on TV, usually when i watched action movies with my parents. But they change the channel before the situation got too bloody. They said it was too much for my innocent eyes, whatever that means.
There were two guys throwing punches at each other. I didn't catch very much but i saw one of them was having a bloody nose. Oh my god. It was my time to step in between. The people were cheering.
What is wrong with them? Someone should intervene.
I step in like the heroine i am.
But before i could yell a 'stop' i felt a sharp pain on the side of my head. My eyes grew wide and before i knew what happened i saw black spots in my vision.
I fell into darkness.
