I stifle a yawn as Miss Parker finish off her lecture and announce the homework for tonight. Carefully closing my binder and looking around to the other students shoving notebooks into their book bags. I smile slightly, glad that I found a binder big enough to hold all the things I need for each class. The bell rings and I spring out of my seat, more than ready for lunch.

As I stroll down the hallway, weaving in and out of the mass of bodies, my mind drifts back to my outfit. I watch as people walk and push pass me without sparing a glance and felt a pang of disappointment.

I mean I'm dressed up, make up and all but I still couldn't get a guy to look at me. I shake my head at the thought. I shouldn't even be disappointed, I shouldn't have expected anything in the first place. I honestly did not dress up for some guy but it couldn't hurt to at least be worth it to glance at. I look down at myself before the thought hit me.

Of course no one is sparing me a glance, I was just too average. Ordinary. Common. With my light brown hair and unattractive black eyes it would have been suspicious if a guy took interest in me.

I pull open the heavy cafeteria doors and step in, the loud voices along with the screeching and yelling slapping me in the face. No one turned to look, as if I had the words 'not important' radiating off me. Then at the corner of my eyes I notice golden hair moving and I felt someone's eyes on me. I turn to my left and saw light green eyes starring back.

He smiled.
