Despite the fact that I still liked Hayate, I decided that the best thing to do is move on. I mean Sota is a very good guy and I do like him. The next morning, I decided to call him back to my house. He came and I told him that I would go out with him. He looked shocked at first but then he smiled and patted my shoulder.
"Shiawase desu ka?" He asked.
"...y-yea" I answered.
"Alright then." He said with a smile.
"Yep."
We began to date and I began to forget about Hayate. I was finally moving on, then I saw him again. I had taken a break from school so I hadn't seen him for a while. I usually saw him with his girlfriend but this time he was alone and he looked sad. I wanted to go to him and ask what was wrong but then I remembered I had moved on.
"Go talk to him." Sota said.
"You sure?" I asked.
"Yep."
"Hayate!" I shouted and ran off. "Are you O-" I was cut off by a hug and sobs.
"I'm sorry." He kept saying over and over again.
"It's okay." I said and hugged him back. "Why are you so sad?"
"After I found out that you and Sota were dating I felt like the best thing that could've ever happened to me slipped from my fingers. I had the best person ever and I let them get away." He said still crying.
"Shiawase...?" I heard Sota say. "Are you happier with him than you are with me?"
"Y-yes." I answered.
"Alright then. That's all I need." Sota said. "Hayate if you hurt her in any way..."
"I won't." He said and grabbed my hand.
"Okay then." Sota said and walked off.
I felt like the largest weight had been lifted from my chest. I was happy. Then I remembered that I hadn't been singing at the host club for a few days. Then I saw them coming towards us.
"You haven't been coming to work." It was yumeto Irie and the entire host club. "You know what that means right?" He said and kissed me.
"Hey get your hands off her!" Hayate shouted and pulled me back.
"You don't know her story of why she works for us have you?" Yumeto said. "Her dad was in debt of my family and I found her crying one day. I offered to help her on one condition that she would sing at our club and she accepted. After a while I told her that if she ever left that she would have to be my girlfriend, and well here we are."
(Excuse my profanity and I hope that Hayate would never say this) "I call bullshit." Hayate shouted. "And what will it take for me to get her back?"
"Simple...pay off her dad's debt." Yumeto answered.
"No!! Don't do it!!" I shouted. "This is my problem-"
"Our problem." He said. "I'll do it. How much is it?"
"20 mill." Yumeto answered. "If you don't pay it in a calendar month then she's mine."
"You know I could call the police for sexual harassment!" I shouted.
"Go ahead and do that but do you remember what you did to make money for your dad?" Yumeto whispered just for me and Hayate to hear.
"That was years ago!!" I shouted.
"What'd you do?" Hayate asked.
"I was a drug dealer..." I whispered in his ear. "Yumeto caught me and further blackmailed me. Damn I was so stupid to think I could skip work. I was so darn close too!" I said.
"I'll take care of you." Hayate said. "I accept."
"Here's the account number. Good luck." Then yumeto left.
"I'm so sorry!!" I shouted in tears.
"I love you and I'll do anything for you." He said. "I'll make you happy."
"Okay..."
A/N: I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO WRITE!!!! HALLELUJAH!!! Anyway thank you for reading. It's been raining for 18 hours straight at my house so I will have a lot of time to write being cooped up in the house. Bye bye~~
