Chapter 8: finished

We woke up the next morning with daichi in front of us trying to take the money that father had brought. "DAICHI!!!" I shouted and grabbed him.

"Let go of me!!" He kicked me in the face.

"We need that!"

"Bye!" He said and walked out.

Before Hayate and I could even process what happened daichi was already gone with the money that we do desperately needed.

"Someone's calling you." Hayate told me.

"Moshi moshi~" I answered.

"Gomen ne!!" I heard on the other line. "You don't have to pay the money. You can be together." It seemed to be a crying yumeto.

"Okay." I said. "So you'll stop blackmailing me?"

"Yes. I'll stay out of both of your lives." He said and hung up.

I knew that this was over for us but he had just signed his death certificate when he made that call. It was over for us but not him. I felt bad but was able to laugh once more. It was the first time I felt free since I was a teenager.

"Lets go somewhere." Hayate said.

"Where?" I asked.

"Okinawa but first I want to marry you." He said.

"So Okinawa will be our honeymoon?" I asked.

"Yep but it'll take a while until I have enough money and another time of leave." He said.

"That's fine." I said beginning to cry of happiness.

"So you're happy with me?" He asked.

"More like overjoyed. I'm finally with someone I love." I said.

"Me too."

I fell asleep the happiest person in the world eagerly waiting for the next day I could spend with the love of my life.
