One night, lots of changes

chapter 9- permission

Mo's P.O.V.

I woke up and took a shower. I got dressed and sat down at my bureau to do my makeup. Then I got a text from Ross, it said: Hey, did you ask?

Not yet, I replied. I was gonna ask tonight, my dad would be back from work and Susan would still be at hers.

I looked at my phone. I clicked on my photos and scrolled through them. There were pictures of yesterday, I smiled. It was so much fun hanging with my favorite band, well 4/5 because Ellington wasn't there. I wish I could tell Susan about it, but that would ruin the surprise. I did my makeup, put my curly dark brown hair in a bun and walked down stairs to find my mom sitting at the kitchen table. Susan was off to work and Jade was in her room. I had seriously no clue where Jason could be. Probably gaming in his own room though. "Morning mom!", I said cheerfully. "Morning!" she answered. "Why so happy?" she asked. "Why not?" I replied, avoiding to answer. She shrugged. I made myself some pancakes and got into the living room to watch some tv.

After 20 minutes my mom shouted from the corridor: "I'm heading to work!" "Okay mom!" I shouted back as I continued watching tv.

I was watching Disney Channel when Jade showed up. She sat down next to me with a weird attitude. I looked over at her while she innocently watched the tv. I decided to let it go and watched with her. "Spill it", she suddenly said. "Spill what?" I asked her confused. "Oh you know!" "No I really don't!" "Where were you yesterday?" she said, even though she was only 13, I thought she was slightly intimidating. "I already told you, I was with my friends", I said, I didn't really know if I was lying. Were they my friends? I hope so.. "No you weren't! I followed you and you were with some weird people with beanies on", she replied. I was shocked. Did she follow me?! Why?! "Why'd you follow me?!" I asked her, starting to get a little bit angry. "Because I felt like you were lying, and I. Was. Right.", she said the last part slowly, probably to sound dramatic. "Well, those weird people are my friends, so what's the lying part?" I almost yelled at her. I felt the corners of my mouth curl up a bit, because I just called the Lynch family my friends. I quickly put them down again, hoping Jade didn't see it. She didn't because she continued talking: "Well then tell me their names." I stayed quiet. "Are you gonna tell me?", she insisted. "I uhm.. I can't..", I quietly said, she'd definitely tell everyone she knows, including Susan. "Well you have to, because I will tell mom and dad you were with strangers yesterday", she forced. "Till when did you actually followed me?", I just asked. "Till you stood up and left, and don't change the subject!", she replied. "Did you hear what we said?", I asked her. "No..", she frowned. "And you have no idea who they were?", I asked to make sure. "Well, I could see it wasn't Sarah or Deveney.. but I didn't recognize them..", she said, "But you gotta tell me who they were!" "None of your business!", I told her. She growled, "Fine! don't tell me! but I will find out!" She stood up and left. I was a bit taken back. I shook it off and shrugged. I checked my phone, 2 new texts. One from Ross: When are u gonna ask?

I texted back: Tonight, after diner :)

I also got a text from Sarah: Hey! you want to go shopping? xx

I really wanted to, but I had homework to do. Even though we had a week vacation, I still had homework for next week. And since I didn't do anything the last few days, I had to do it today. So I replied: Sorry, I can't.. homework.. But I got something to tell you and Dev tonight! xx

I quickly got a text back from her: awh :( Can't wait! ;) xx

I texted back: You have to ;) xx

Then I got upstairs to do my homework.

Later that day we had diner. 'We' meaning; mom, dad, Jade, Jason and I. Susan was still at work and she wouldn't be back till 10. I quietly ate my food, thinking of how I should ask my parents, while the rest was talking about today. My siblings didn't have very much to talk about though, since my brother had been in his room all day, and so had my sister. After diner I offered to do the dishes, hoping for my parents to get in a good mood and for my siblings to leave. They did.

When I was finished doing the dishes I sat down next to mom and opposite of dad. "Mom? can I ask you something?" I asked with my sweetest voice and causing my dad to listen too. I told what happened yesterday, from the beginning till the end. After I finished my story my mom said: "So R5 is this band you and Susan like right?" I nodded, "Yeah and Susan would be you guys forever grateful if you'd let them play on her birthday party", I said smiling. Mom glanced at dad, he shrugged. They both turned to me, "I think we could arrange them performing", my mom said. I cheered and hugged them both really tight until they said I was squeezing them. We all laughed. "But don't tell Susan, it's got to be a surprise, just like the party itself!" I told them. They nodded and locked their mouths with an invisible zipper.

I went upstairs, skipping and jumping around. I got into my room and quickly texted Ross: Hey, my parents said yes!

Then I opened Skype to video chat with Sarah and Deveney, I had to tell them the news! While waiting for them to come online I got a text back from Ross: Great! we'll meet again next week to arrange everything!

I texted back a simple: okay!

Sarah and Deveney came online and I told them what happened yesterday and today. They were fangirling with me. It was so much fun! They were so happy for me I got to spend a whole day with R5. I couldn't wait till I'd meet them again!
