Chapter 15- what do I have to do

Rydel's P.O.V.

During the rehearsals Riker seemed absent, like his mind was distracting him. I saw the others noticed too and when Riker left to get some water Ross asked, "Okay, who knows what's going on with Riker?" Nobody knew an answer so I said, "I'll talk to him later." "Yeah I think that's a good idea.." Rocky said.

Then Riker came in again, 'What are you guys talking about?" "Oh ehm, just what song we're gonna rehearse next. We decided to do ehm.. If I can't be with you twice and then Crazy stupid love one more time and we'll end with Forget about you," I lied and the others nodded. "Oh okay," Riker said and took his bass.

After we played the songs everyone left the basement except for Riker and I. Riker was doing something with his bass. "Uhm.. Riker can I talk to you for a moment?" I asked. "Sure what's up sis?" he said and sat down on the couch. I sat down next to him, "I noticed that you were a bit distracted during practice, what's wrong?" "Nothing's wrong, everything is fine.. everything is perfectly fine." He replied. I raised my eyebrows, "Are you sure Riker? Because it looks like there's something on your mind.." He sighed, "Well.. yeah I was distracted, but I rather first think about it." "Please Riker, tell me, I promise I won't tell the others. Maybe I can help you," I said. "Well.. okay, maybe you can. It's about Susan.." he fiddled with his hands. "What about her?" I asked curiously. "Well.. I may or may not like her.. and I know I'm 5 years older, and I know I'm crazy.. but I just can't help it.." he said. "Ahww my big brother is in love!" I chirped. "Yeah I think so too," he smiled shyly. I've never seen him like this before. "About the difference in age, who was always the one that said age is overrated? That it doesn't matter that there's a big difference as long as you love each other?" I smiled at him. He thought for a moment. "Plus," I added, "the difference might seem very big now, because you're both still young, but later on in life, 5 years is nothing, really."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks Rydel, you really did help me out I think. But what should I do now?" "well why don't you give it a shot and tell her how you feel," I put my arm around his shoulder. "I guess I will, thanks again sis," he said and hugged me. "You're welcome bro, remember that," I told him.

Ross' P.O.V.

We finished practice and were currently hanging out in the living room, playing some videogames. Rydel was talking to Riker and since it wasn't my turn to play, I was pretty bored. So I decided to text Deveney.

Ross: Hi!

Deveney: Hey! what's up?

Ross: not much, just finished practice :) wbu?

Deveney: Just got home from Mo's place :)

Ross: Okay :) Last night was fun!

Deveney: Yeah it was! ;)

Ross: About the date.. when?

Deveney: I don't really care, just suggest something :)

Ross: Okay, well is this friday okay?

Deveney: Let me check

Ross: Kay ;)

I waited for her to respond when Ryland told me it was my turn. "No, I'll go next round, I'm busy," I smiled. "Oooh I know that smile! He's talking to his girl!" Rocky smirked. "Oh shut up! And she's not my girl," I said, "not yet..," I muttered under my breath, so they couldn't hear. "What did you just say?" Ellington asked. My phone beeped. "Nothing," I replied quickly before turning my attention to my phone. It was a text from Deveney.

Deveney: this friday is okay :) what time?

Ross: yay! I'll text you the time when I arranged it ;)

Deveney: Okay! What are we gonna do?

Ross: Not telling ya!

Deveney: You make me curious! Tell!

Ross: Nope! You'll see ;)

Deveney: Ugh okay, at least tell me if I have to wear something formal?

Ross: No you don't, just casual is good :)

Deveney: Okay :) Well gotta go now! See ya friday!

Ross: Kay! Byee

Deveney: Bye x

I smiled at the little 'x' in her last text. Oh gosh I really like this girl! I better make sure the date is perfect. I should probably start arranging it now.

I got up and left the living room to go upstairs into mine and Ryland's room. Okay where to start? I should probably make some calls first...

Okay so sorry for the long wait! but I have to study like REALLY hard, because if I don't get good marks my mom won't let me go to the R5 concert :O so yeah I'm studying a lot coming 4 weeks. That's why I won't be updating very much.

Also I changed the cover, cuz I didn't like the other one ;P
