"Hey Alice, you ready for lunch?" Lulu questioned me. "Yeah, hold on, I, uh, need to run to the vending machine." I told her, partially lying, I had to go get a wad of money from my 'red haired mannequin head' Emily. I am in the business of homework, but not my homework. Everyone else's homework. I got up from my bench outside and headed to the cosmetology room. On my way there my phone vibrated I went to pull the blue phone from out of my pocket, without looking where I was going, and ran into a wall and dropped my phone! Well, I thought it was a wall, however, when I looked up I looked into the deep blue grey eyes of Jase Atoms. All he did was smirk at me, a gorgeous 'well, hey there' smirk.
I have had a crush on him for a long time, maybe sine 3rd grade when I first met him, but I sure did like him. I always wanted him to talk to me and it not be the usual "Hey, do you have a pencil?" God he was gorgeous and I was standing there just gawking! I need to say something! What do I say? Sorry? My bad? I didn't see you there? Oh no this is awkward, he thinks I'm weird...
"Hey princess, aren't you in my chemistry class?", Jase asked me.
"I, uh, yeah, maybe, I think so!", oh God did I just say that, like really? Jase is talking to ME and I can't talk in sentences, as smart as I am!
"I thought so, you know you should text me sometime."Jase said winking at me as he bent down and picked up my phone. He started typing his name and number into my phone.
"Um, yeah like totally, I sure will, when?" I asked, completely lost on cloud nine!
"6, after baseball practice. Talk to you later princess." Instead of handing me my phone he pushed it into my pocket and kissed my cheek. He then bent down and whispered in my ear, "Don't forget." I just started nodding my head rapidly as I watched him stride away. Oh my gosh he was beautiful! I completely forgot what I was doing until I saw I was in front of the cosmetology room. I looked down the empty hallways, making sure the coast was clear before entering. I pulled out my copy of the key to the room and continued to enter. I closed the door behind me and flicked on the lights. I walked over to my vanity with all of my things and picked up Emily's head. I unscrewed the bottom of the neck and pulled out at least 250$ from last weeks 9th grade history assignment. 10$ a packet of answers (per student), 25$ an essay, 30$ a poster, 10$ a powerpoint, and so on.
I put the screw back in and left. I flicked the lights back off and locked the door back, again checking yet another empty hallway just to make sure it was empty. I put the money in the front, small pocket of my blue backpack. I slung my backpack back on and started waking back to outside to where me and Lulu always eat lunch. My phone started buzzing in my front pocket, then remembering my run in with Jase I started smiling like an idiot as I pulled my phone out and saw Lulu was calling. "Where are you at? My lunch is getting cold."
"I'm on my way out there now, sorry the vending machine took my money and I had a mental breakdown for a second."I explained and we both had a 5 second laugh attack.
