The Pegasus of the zodiac [A Fruits Basket Fanfic]

Our little girl was born a month earlier than she was supposed to. I was so excited to be holding my newborn daughter in my arms.

"I will name her Misaki. Misaki Sohma." I said as I looked at her sweet smiling face as she starred up into my eyes with her special eyes. They were clear and we new that our daughter was special just because of it.

*2 years later*

We had found out that she was a Pegasus when she was 1 year old and that her eyes would change color with her mood. Unfortunately she was born crippled and could only use her legs when she was a Pegasus. Her human form wasn't strong enough so all of her life so far was just within a small room in the Sohma main house.

During the day she would look out the window at the other children running around everywhere with their friends. Instead of pitying herself all day, she would sing, draw, and read.

She knew that no one knew of her existence but she didn't mind that and she just stayed hidden.

I loved her with all of my heart and soul and would do anything for her. One day when she got up to try walking she lost her balance and fell. She started to hyperventilate and soon past out from her chest hitting the floor a little too hard, knocking the wind out of her.

She was born with very weak lungs and a very frail body. Her pail white skin and long silver hair, that went down to her feet, flew gently around her body as she was laying down sleeping.

After that incident happened, it kept getting more frequent and it soon led to her having to be hooked up to a breathing machine 24/7. She was under constant watch by me and her father, sometimes even Hatori.

She was fragile and we would be with her forever to keep her safe.

*3 years later*

Misaki got stronger and her lungs had gotten just strong enough so that she would be perfectly fine as long as she didn't get too excited or talked too much.

It was sad, she used to sing everyday but after that incident, she was forced to stop singing. It took too much air out of her lungs and she would have to use the breathing machine again.

"Miss Sohma, Akito-sama would like to see you and your husband," a maid said. I grabbed my husband and we left to where Akito stayed.

Akito's POV

So, she had a daughter all along and I never knew. I am so angry right now, they lied to me and kept a secret from me. I have a feeling that I'll be seeing this 'Misaki' girl soon.

Mana and his wife Kochiko entered and sat down in front of me, bowing on their hands and knees. Mana was an eagle and his wife was a horse, two of the stupidest animals I had ever met.

"I have been informed that you have a daughter. The weird thing about that information was that she is already 5 years of age. How is that possible without me ever knowing that she was born in the first place!" I yelled at the now frightened couple.

I grabbed a vase, shattered it, and took two sharp pieces. I walked towards them as they trembled in fear. When I got in front of them, I took the sharp pieces and stabbed them both in the heart.

That girl was going to be mine now and she would get an even worse beating than I had planned out for her. She was stronger than me and wasn't a God, it made me furious that I was only second best especially to someone who wasn't a God.

I walked out of my room and walked down to Hatori's office. Opening the door I yelled, "where is the girl!"

He pointed to house that was a few houses away from mine and I left, walking towards the house. Tonight was going to be fun.

Misaki's POV

Mommy and daddy left over an hour ago and they still hadn't returned. When I looked out of my window I saw the figure of a man walking towards my house.

He came into the house and yelled, "Is anyone in here!?"

I didn't want to be rude so I yelled, "I'm in here! Do you need something?"

I heard his feet walk towards my door. When he opened it I saw an angry expression on his face.

He walked up to me, picked me up, and walk out of the house to another one that was a few houses away from mine. He walked in and brought me to a room, assuming it was his room I calmed down and stopped talking, trying to catch my breath.

He then threw me onto the floor and started to kick me in the gut. A few kicks later he kicked so hard that the wind left my lungs and my vision started to get fuzzy. All through that night he had kicked, punched, cut, choked, and yelled at me.

Every time I would almost pass out, he would take a bucket of ice cold water and dump it onto me. I was shivering so much that you could see me doing it from across a whole room.

When he finished, he told me to go and sit in the small room next door quietly. I did as I was told so that I wouldn't get beaten again. I ended up crawling there because of my stupid legs.

For the next few months he would beat me harshly every night and would make me almost starved everyday. Recently, Akito had gotten sick again and even though he was sick, he would beat me every night.

Akito is very sick today so I just hope he will let me have a break from all of the beatings.

I must have no luck because there, standing at my door, was Akito. He walked in and started to beat me.

About an hour into the daily beating, Hatori walked in and saw what he was doing to me. Akito then passed out from being sick and fell to the ground. Hatori walked in and picked up Akito then he put him in his bed.

A few minutes later Hatori came back to get me. He picked my small body up and brought me to his office. I had been there alot when I was younger so I knew where every single thing was kept.

He put me on the bed and turned the light on above me. He quickly grabbed bandages and ointments from his shelves then walked back over to me.

He put the ointment all of my wounds and bandaged them, he also sewed together all of long cut marks Akito had made. When he finished he said, "I'm going to get you out of here Misaki, I promise I will save you."

He dressed me up in some warm clothes and put a coat on me. He picked me up and brought me to his car. He ran back inside quickly and came back a minute later with a box of medications along with a bag of what looked to be clothes for me.

He put them in the car and took off away from the house at a fast pace.

I was very tired from the beating from earlier so I quickly fell asleep, darkness welcoming me into her open arms.

Sorry if this story is bad, my mind has been very weird lately and it effects my (not so) wonderful story writing abilities.
