Albus

I woke up in the morning with my blankets tucked around me, obviously meaning that Cece had a nightmare and checked up on all of us. I sighed, rolling off the bed and stood, making my way to her room. I cracked open the door and peeked inside. Empty. I sighed, knowing that she was probably in Ronan's room. Cece tended to go there after getting nightmares.

I shut the door silently and made my way down the hall and opened Ronan's door. My sister was asleep, covered in Ronan's sheets and blankets, the older boy nowhere to be seen. I frowned, shutting the door and opened Quinn's door slowly.

She was asleep, like Cece, her black headphones over her ears, her music still on from last night. Ronan was standing by her bedside, with a black marker in his hand. He put a finger to his lips, motioning me to come over. I nearly broke down laughing at the drawn beard and goatee on Quinn's face. Her tan skin clashed with the marker, smudging on her skin. Chances were, she would be furious when she wakes up. Ronan handed me the marker, allowing me to lean forward and draw something on her face. I frowned and paused thoughtfully, drawing a curly mustache and devil horns.

Suddenly, a scream erupted form Quinn's mouth. I stepped back, tripping over a chair and fell on the ground, the black marker in my hand clattered to the ground. Quinn sat up and broke out laughing at Ronan and I. The door to Quinn's room opened, Cece entered, rubbing her eyes. "Did they fall for it?" she murmured, yawning.

Quinn grinned, hopping off her bed, and hugged Cece. "You bet they did!" Cece rolled her eyes, and slipped out of Quinn's hold and leaned against the wall. "What are you wearing?" Quinn frowned, staring at the extra large shirt on her that reached well past her knees.

"Oh, it's Ronan's. I got cold." Cece shrugged off, closing her eyes. "You can peel it off now." Cece yawned, waving her hand while I blinked, confused. Quinn pressed her fingers to her top of her face, slowly feeling along it and tugged. I winced, flinching and covered my eyes as she slowly and cautiously peeled off her face.

I uncovered my hands, staring at the layer of skin Quinn had peeled off. Ronan's face was completely pale, and he was holding onto the wall for balance. Cece went over, wrapping her arms around him to help steady his balance while I stared at the layer. Quinn was grinning at us, holding the layer of skin in her hands, twirling it around.

"Y-you just peeled off you face!" I shrieked, gaping at the layer of skin.

"Yes. Yes, I did." Quinn grinned, reaching the layer over to me. "Would you like to feel it?"

I paled immediately, my vision swirling as I collapsed, everything went dark.

Poor Albus.

Yeah...

He's fine though, right?

Yep. Just a little bit of shock.

Mmm... good.

Well?

Huh?

What do you think is going to happen next?

Probably Albus going off to decipher how Quinn made a layer of her face and attached it to her face without Ronan or Albus finding out.

Yeah... you think he can do it?

Well... Albus seems like quite an intelligent boy. So yes, he probably can.

Of course. Now let's see what that layer is really made of, hmm?
