Untitled Part 32

(LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS IM SO EXCITED! LETS GET INTO THIS (updating early!!!) woo!)  Today's the day. We are performing. We're also seeing Matilda put on 'The Wizard of Oz' today and Newsies put on 'School of Rock.' We all got up around the same time, I of course woke up to 'Skid Row'. I turn my alarm off and get up. I put on the shirt I got from being in Charlie (that one time) and some dance shorts and went downstairs. The only person there was Joshua. "Excited?" I ask him siting down next to him. "Yeah I am!" He replies. He's the only person in the cast that doesn't have to do an American accent since he already has one. I think it's quite cool and he thinks our accents are cool as well. Joshys is the coolest. His mum is from Lancashire while his dads from Essex. Enough said. After a while everyone else comes down as well. Nathan looks tired as hell and so does Euan. "What is working with you guys? You guys look like zombies." Hollie says jumping around the kitchen. "I don't know, I just need to wake up I guess." Nathan says. I splash him with some of my water. "Better?" I ask him. He glares at me then grins, "Suurreeee." He replies splashing me with his. "Don't make this an all out war, again." Brodie says sitting down. He says again because it's not the first time it's happened... Nathan and I have had MANY all out wars. "We won't." We both say in unison though we probably will start fighting again later. We all finish eating and I put on my Newsies cap and Connie put on hers and we all went to the Palace Theatre (WHERE WE ARE PERFORMING OMIGOD OMIGOD) there we found out it was a PUBLIC event. Not bad just not expected. We all started to warmup and such. Some of the Matilda kids came. The only ones I recognised were Evie Hone and Anna-Louise Knight. After we were warmed up we got our costumes on. Bens was the best by far. He was literally moving a puppet. The puppet was huge and actually looked like Audrey II. That's my favourite part of the set. I have to wear a wig (since my hair is not naturally blonde) and a simple black dress. Then I change into other dresses throughout the show. Joshua said the wig made me look like Marilyn Monroe. I also get to have a black eye. That's fun I guess. Then we sat backstage singing Wicked and acting out the Dancing Through Life Scene. Then it was time for us to go on (FIIIINNNNAALLLLYYYY). They sang Prolouge blah blah blah not in that number. Then I go on yeah. The audience laughed when they saw me since I'm so short and it's weird seeing a twelve year old in a blonde wig and heavy makeup OH and a black eye. We sang Downtown which is one of my favourite songs. The show went really well. People liked Somewhere that's GreenThen it was time for Suddenly Seymour, I'm not joking Joshua has literally the prettiest voice (for a guy) so when he starts singing the audience just claps. It's quite funny. I think the reason they chose us for this role instead of people who were more comfortable together was because our voices blend so well together. Plus Joshua and I have become better friends through Little Shop. Plus we both have vibrato and can belt... So at the end of that I was out of breath and Joshua was out of breath too, blah blah blah keep moving SOMEWHERE THATS GREEN REPRISE. I'm not joking I cry even singing it. I put on waterproof mascara because I knew I was gonna cry. During the part where Audrey II (Ben) was supposed to be eating me I was screaming at the top of my lungs. Yeah, then came Somewhere that's Green reprise. I saw the kids that weren't in that scene or had already died (Nathan and Brodie had died and we're watching from the front and center and Connie, Hollie, Euan, Nat, and Joshy were all watching from the very front). "You'll wash my tender leaves, and smell my sweet perfume, you'll water me and care for me, you'll see me bud and bloom." I sing trying not to cry and I sound like I'm dying (which I technically am so in a way it's not that bad) "I'm feeling strangely happy now contented and serene, oh don't you see, finally I'll be" that's when I started to cry "Somewhere that's green..." At the green I act like I'm trying to grab something like when your dying if you get what I mean. And then I get fed to the plant yeah. Dark musical I know. I saw some of the audience crying at that point and to be honest I would be crying too. At the end Seymour dies (again Dark musical I know). And then it goes into Don't Feed the Plants. My eyes are all puffy from crying so it's hard to see. After we all bow Brodie and Nathan (who were standing beside me and Joshy since they were both died in the show too and all the 'dead' people come out together) pushed us forward which we were not expecting. We both looked at each other and shrugged, then we bowed and the audience clapped really hard. Then we all bowed again and went offstage. Everybody kept telling me I made them cry, "THE FEELS!" Nat told me shaking me. Newsies was next but they were all worried. "What's wrong?" I asked Jordan (Jack Kelly). "We have nobody to play Summer and we can't have any of the boys play her and none of the girls know her part." I suddenly remembered I had learned her part in a workshop I did. "I know her part." I say. "Okay we'll get this costume on then and do your hair." He tells me. Okay so I guess I'm doing two shows. Jordan was Dewey Finn, Thomas and my brother who had joined the cast as Les since Charlie closed and Newsies wanted him to join as well were both playing students along with Joe who was making his West End debut as Les. Zachary (my brother) was Billy the Stylist. Joe was Lawrence since he can play the piano and Thomas was Mason the Techie. It was a really fun show. It was funny since most of the kids were played by adults. In the end we made a few mistakes but not too many. After the show I got into sweatpants and the shirt that was left in a bag with my name on it. It looked kind of like a football jersey type thing but it says Little Shop and it had a one on the front, and on the back it says Audrey. I get why it has a one, because I'm Audrey one. We watched Matilda's performance and it was quite good. Anna-Louise was Glinda and Evie Hone was Dorothy. Overall it was a fun night and I hope to do it again soon! (Over a thousand words! I'm updating early since I most likely will not be able to update tomorrow. Though I promise I will update the next day. So yeah! I hope you guys liked this chapter! -Elliott (Ellie))
