I ran through the forest at high speeds jumping over logs and fallen trees, I would be enjoying this if I wasn't set out on a mission. I had left my mothers beta in charge at the pack, he knew what he was doing, but I didn't fully know how to run a pack. It was late afternoon and at my brothers pack my parents funeral was going on, but I didn't want to go, I wasn't ready to accept that they were gone.

I told myself I would go see them soon when I needed my mothers guidance and my fathers wisdom. I saw the werewolf kingdom ahead and slowed to a brisk trot. I shifted back into the elegant dress I was wearing before, I can shift back into my clothes because my mother taught me how to. If I wanted to seem like I fit in here I needed to look the part.

I walked through the crowds of well dressed people, looking for ways to get into the castle. Many people lived around the castle right up to the gates so that would leave me great cover. Walking through the crowds I got the occasional shove here and there. And I shoved people back every now and again.

I walked out of the dense crowds and a man stopped me. He looked me up and down lust in his eyes, "I guess you get scum everywhere you go" Felan my wolf said. "Where might you be going little lady?" I disliked the disrespect he was emitting, narrowing my eyes I responded, "for me to know and you to never find out, now kindly get the fuck out of my way." He sniggered "or what princess?" I smirked "or I will make you move." I stated rather plainly, I was bored of his bullshit. He stood there "Is that a challenge sweetheart?" I was beyond pissed off now I kicked him in the stomach getting a rather satisfying crack then broke his nose getting another crack. He dropped to the ground "I don't know is it sweetheart?" I mocked as I stepped over him and walked away.

I walked near the gates to the castle, there were four guards, they would be easy to take out, but too risky in the open. I ran behind the nearby houses, shifting into my wolf and scaling the walls. The walls were too high to jump but there was a low tree branch I could use to jump the walls. I moved to the tree and jumped onto the branch, I then jumped over the wall landing with a soft thud on the other side.

There was a small garden party going on, I shifted back into my dress and joined the people. I put on a fake smile and started talking to the rich people. I spotted the queen talking to a man and made my way over to join their conversation. She looked me up and down and I bowed respectfully. She smiled and continued her conversation with the man, I added my knowledge here and there, but mostly kept silent.

They were talking about the battle plans that took place against the vampires and I listened eagerly. It was night now and the moon was full. There was a change in the wind and I picked up an off scent. I saw the man do the same, we sniffed the air trying to figure out the scent. Bushes and trees rustled in the wind and the party stopped. Everyone was on high alert. The man pushed the queen behind him and I stood in front of her as well.

I stayed still, silently scanning my surroundings, looking for threats and escapes. Many women had been pushed behind men. Everyone was looking at the wall to their left, I turned to the other side and looked behind the queen. I saw dark figures in the distance and immediately shifted my senses kicked in and I saw vampires. There pale skin sparkling in the moon light as they stalked closer.

I battle howled and charged at them, the men following closely, and women and the queen ran to the safety of the castle. The nearest vampire swiped at me and caught my neck, I yelped and bit his arm, my teeth successfully sinking into her skin. She screamed and I kicked her off me. I looked back towards other wolves. There was a vampire on a mans back and I ran over to help him. I shifted into human form, pulling my mothers daggers out of their holders in my dress. I sunk both into the vampires back, the silver blades disappeared into the vamps back. I pulled them out and they were covered in his crimson blood.

Satisfied that he was dead I turned to kill another. I was halfway through killing a vampire when another pulled me off him, I swiped and growled kicking any flesh that I came in contact with. I had been circled by vampires. I sniffed the air, there was six of them circling me. A new scent stuck out and it smelt beautiful. I remember my mother telling me about the scent of mates, my mate was here.

Determined to see his face I struck a vampire and snapped its neck. The other vampires attacked me. I was outnumbered and they jumped onto me and scratched and clawed anything they could. I yelped as one came into contact with my soft underbelly. A furious roar was heard and I was suddenly free from vampires. Not moving I just laid there, pain was swarming my body and I couldn't move. Spots clouded my vision and the last thing I saw was a handsome face.
