I opened my eyes, it was 11:30pm and I was all of a sudden wide awake. I cursed to myself and swung legs over my bed. I got up unsteadily for a minute, my bullet wound was fully healed, but it still ached every now and then. I opened my door and walked outside, it was a beautiful night, the stars were dotting the dark sky. The chilly breeze licking gently at my skin. I shivered slightly and put my arms around myself.

I scanned my surroundings, the pack house was distant, I was at the edge of my brothers territory, no mans land was just beyond these borders. I knew that pack patrol would find me out here and request I go back to my room. After all, it was dangerous out here. I was an Alpha sure, but even then we have our strength limits.

I laughed bitterly to myself, my family, all of Alpha blood, eradicated by vampires. I was the last one, the last to carry my bloodline. The DeFirenze bloodline was up to me to keep it going. I sat down, not caring who found me. A bitter laugh came from me again, I was crazy. Completely nuts. To anyone walking past I would look insane. Sitting on the ground, tears streaming down my face and laughing manically.

I looked around me, I had no family any more. I stood up, my feet a little unsteady. I wiped my tear stained face and mind linked Freya, "Freya?" I questioned. "Yes Alpha?" Her response was quick, and I smiled. She was always on duty, especially in the wee hours. "I am going home and I would like you to send our warriors to back to their families. I will need to speak with you soon as well." I closed the link and shifted into my wolf. My jet black fur hiding me in the night.

I set off at a slow pace, letting Felan take control as she strolled over the pack grounds towards my border line. She sniffed the air and let me take control, I continued our walk over to my pack house. I was greeted as soon as I got there with no one. Everyone was asleep and I prepared for a meeting in the morning. I soon fell asleep at my desk.

Kenai's POV

My eyes had adjusted to the darkness, I was in a cell most likely by the vampire's order.  I stretched my sore muscles and stood, wincing a little at the wound on my leg. The cells door was swung open and I was pinned to the ground. I struggled and kicked my legs, "Get off." I stated. The wolves holding me down didn't let me go, the dragged me through the cells to a room, it was well lit with a range of weapons on a table.

A short woman stood in the center next to two males, a few guards lined the walls as well. I was dragged over to a wall with shackles on it.  I was shackled to the wall, facing the woman. Her face was sharp and she had no expression, her eyes watched me for a brief moment before she spoke. "Tell me why you are here." She waited patiently for me to respond.

I watched her every move, she was tense and alert. I dragged my eyes to the guards in the corner, they were all watching me with straight faces. I turned my attention back to the woman, "I am here for Des." She snarled when I said her nickname. Her eyes alight and aggressive her wolf surfacing, her eyes a dark black. The guards suddenly awake, their eyes watching the woman warily.

Her wolf was surfacing, her eyes pitch black as she shook slightly. "You will not have our Alpha," She took a step forward, "No one will take her away, not now not ever!" Her last words turning into a scream. I flinched slightly, her eyes staring a hole through me. A man that was to her right came and pulled her into his arms.

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, relaxing slightly she reopened her eyes. Her green eyes looking at me. "Why do you want our Alpha?" She asked, calmer now. All eyes snapped to me, waiting for a response. "I want to take her home." I said carefully, a hiss came from the corner of the room. I moved my eyes to see the grumpy male from the other day.

He stepped forward, "You will not have my mate." He snarled, I smirked at him. "She didn't seem to want you as a mate when I was holding her in my arms the other day." His fist connected with my face and I spat out blood. I looked up with a smile and received another punch to the face. I howled in pain when a knife went into my leg. I growled and ripped my arms free of the chains. My wolf surfacing to try and kill the man who harmed us. I ripped the knife out of my leg and stabbed his leg with it.

Destiny's POV

I woke with a start, a burning pain in my thigh. I winced and lifted my leg to see what was wrong. I saw nothing and looked around confused, only to have a sharp pain in my other leg. I yelped and looked down, nothing. I stood up quickly, my wolf pushing me to find our mate. I grabbed a vial of silver and my daggers and ran out of the room.

I scented the air, Freya's scent thick, along with Salem's. Kenai's scent was in the air too, I cursed. The dungeons. I pushed my legs to move faster as I ran at full speed to the dungeons. I didn't bother to open the door, just ripped it off. The scent of blood hit my nose as I looked around the stainless silver dungeons.

A scream came from the end and I ran faster. I stopped out of the room and opened the door. Kenai and Salem were hitting each other and blood was covering the ground. My warriors stood stock still, ready to intervene if given the order. Freya watched with her mate next to her. I growled lowly, both the males stopping to look at me.

"What is the meaning of this?" My voice came out deeper, Felan at the surface with me, my eyes flickering from their steel grey orbs to pitch black ones. My eyes travelled over Salem's bleeding face to his cut up left leg, his right leg perfectly fine. "We were getting information from the prisoner Alpha." Freya stated and I nodded.

"Well the prisoner and I need to talk, I looked at Kenai's right leg, a deep gash covering his thigh. I moved my eyes to meet his, "Alone." Warriors scurried out of the room, with Freya and her mate in tow. Salem following soon after, he stopped next to me and put his hand on my waist and I growled at him. "Get off and go find another woman to fuck." I snarled at him, he hissed at me, "Fine." He stomped away and I looked at Kenai.

He smiled at me and moved forward, I took a step back and his face fell. "Why do I feel your pain?" I asked him, pointing to his bleeding right leg. He looked down and frowned, "I can't tell you that." He met my eyes and I matched his expression." Just tell me," I pleaded him "When you get hurt I feel it more than when I feel Salem's pain, why?"

He met my eyes, "Because Destiny, we were made for each other." He said it so quiet I almost didn't catch it. "How is that possible, I already have two mates." I said softly. He smiled slightly, "One is not your real mate, I am, and Salem is as well. You have to choose one." He said. "What..." I trailed off to see him right in front of me. He moved his head downwards to capture my lips with his, and I melted.
